Here we are
What is left of a successful network run,
From what was once a fantastic channel full of harmless fun.
I'm not old but I'm getting a whole lot older every day
It's too late to keep from remembering
How it was every Saturday.
The reasons that I say this is because you didn't think when you passed that law,
And I understand problems with education from all the things I saw.
But why did you take away so many shows that were so cool and fine,
I don't know why you gotta get rid of good shows all the time!
Our Saturdays had great funny shows way back when we were young
I hope someday our own kids can see past what WB has become
Freakzoid, Earthworm Jim, Road Rovers so cool and neat!
But because they weren't educational they were cancelled by FCC!

Ten years have came and went since FCC showed these shows the door,
WB never quite made it back to just what it was before
And God it hurts my eyes to watch these dumb shows now,
The very best cartoon year was gone
I don't know why this old world can't leave well enough alone
