A/N: And after who knows how long, I'm publishing under C.S. Lewis again! Let's hear some applause!

Muriel hears nothing but dead silence, broken only by the chirping of crickets

Oh, well. Here's some free verse (but you still have to pay your internet service provider). Post LB. Susan mourns for her siblings, and for her former self.

And suddenly, the train crashes.

As you take one final, pained gulp of oxygen

You enter into a world we ruled as children.

I want to follow.

I cannot.

Lipstick and parties have tied me to this sad planet

with rusty iron cords that are stronger than they look.

Four days later

The body you left behind is lowered into our starving earth.

I watch

And wonder...

Have you gone to the world we ruled as children?

As I step forward

Empty but beautiful

The world applauds.

The Lion weeps.

My heart soars.

My heart breaks.

My heart stops

And for a moment I am with you

in the world we ruled as children.

Until my heart starts again

And I am back

Watching someone cover your body with dirt.

Here I fall

Empty but beautiful

Worshipping the air you once breathed.

Here I kneel

Before your grave

Clawing at dirt and weeping loud.

Here is He

The shining Lion

Breathing life back into me.

Here I stand

Renewed, alive.

Breaking free of the planet's rusty iron cords

Here I go

Prepared to live

To show the world what I once was.

What I once was

In the world we ruled as children.

What I once was

and now am again...

The Gentle.

Yeah, I know the structure was really random, but...(grins hopefully) if you liked it, review. If you hated it, review anyway!
