OK, this is like, one of my first fanfictions. The actual first one is a Heroes(TV show) one. If you look up my penname, it'll say First We Meet. Check it out and give it reviews! Ok, here we go!

Meggie pushed her way along the brambles, on her way to the lake. Farid had said he was going there and Meggie really felt she should check on him. He had said that about 5 hours ago. Actually, Meggie had offered to go with him, but Farid had said he had needed some air.

Mo had yelled at him. Again. He had caught Farid kissing Meggie on the long gravel road to Elinor's house. Mo was just returning from a customer's house, where he had been fixing their books. The family apparently had been very tiresome and he was not in a good mood already when he had seen them, standing together.

Meggie ducked under a low tree branch, and was about to call out for him, but stopped. He was sitting right in front of her, on a horizontal tree trunk hovering over the ground. His toes barely touched the ground. On the tree, he looked so small, so...vulnerable. Meggie wished she had brought a camera because this would have made a great picture.

Just then, Farid turned around. His eyes were slightly red and Meggie could tell he had been crying. She immediatly wished she had waited a bit longer before coming. But Farid just sniffled, wiped his nose with his sleeve, and smiled.

"Hello Meggie," he said. "What is it?" Meggie looked shamefully at the ground.

"I was just looking for you. I was worried, you know. You've been gone a while." Farid nodded. Then he patted the tree next to him.

"Would you like to sit down?" he asked. Meggie nodded and sat down next to him. She looked at the water for a bit. They sat there in silence, not knowing what to say to each other. Finally, Meggie sighed and, knowing Farid probably would not want to talk about Mo, she said, "Would you tell me more about the story you were taken out of? Tales from the Thousand and One Nights?"

Farid gave a heavy sigh. As Meggie put her head on Farid's shoulder, Farid began his story.

"It begins," he began. "Like this."

Well, that's all for now. Survivor is on. Got to see it, but I'll probably write REALLY SOON! GIVE ME REVIEWS!
