When the notification sounded in the wake of what could have been their darkest hour, informing them all that it was New Year's, of course the natural reaction was to celebrate.
As everyone paired off to share a New Year's kiss, Artemis and Wally, Connor and Megan, Robin and Zatara, even Kaldur and Rocket, surprisingly, Kyle turned to Zoey, grinning and scratching the back of his dark head.
"So…New Year's?" He asked the half-ghost, gesticulating awkwardly.
Zoey raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly as she wordlessly prompted him to continue.
His smile faltered slightly, "I, uh, can I-"
The predominately white-costumed half-ghost huffed and grabbed Kyle by his collar, pulling the tall boy down to eye level. "Rayner, are you gonna kiss me or not?" She laughed, purple eyes glowing.
The Green Lantern's blinding smile returned before he wrapped his arms around Zoey's small figure and pulled her up on her tip-toes, pressing his lips to hers.
"Human customs continue to baffle me." Red Tornado, who was propped up by Abby, said.
The predominantly black-costumed half-ghost rolled her eyes, smiling regardless. "Remind me and I'll tell you about it sometime Red."

Zoey and Abby are the twin daughters of Danny Fenton (The Phantom) and Sam Manson/Fenton (Venus; she retained her plant controlling powers after the events of Urban Jungle). Their mentor is Dani Fenton (The Phantomette) who took up the job after Danny resigned from the Justice League.
