"Do we have to do this?"
Sebastian asked, twiddling with his tie as Kurt looked at him, eyebrow cocked. Kurt couldn't believe Sebastian right now. It was his idea to invite both their parents to Kurt's apartment to tell them that they were going. Five years of being together and only now were they meant to tell their parents.
"Are you kidding Bas? It as your idea to do this."
Kurt scolded his boyfriend and gave his fore head a soft kiss. "Just relax." He said and Sebastian nodded, taking a deep breathe to calm his nerves. He couldn't help being nervous. Kurt was his first proper boyfriend and he had no idea how his parents would react. He knew Burt might yell at him, he was the reason that Kurt and Blaine broke up in Kurt's first year of college, but Kurt also played a role in it. Kurt was the one who kissed him and Kurt was the sober one.
"Right."
Sebastian smiled slightly and went to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of scotch and waited patiently for his and Kurt's parents to arrive. Around 8pm did they arrive and Kurt ushered them. Burt gave Kurt an odd look, confused when he saw there would be compant to the supposed family dinner.
Kurt excused himself and went into the kitchen where he knew Sebastian would be. Sebastian knocked back the remainder of his drink and gave Kurt a small smile. He got up and simply held onto his boyfriend's hand, unable to speak to him. Kurt gave him a reassuring kiss on the cheek before squeezing his hand gently.
They walked together into the sitting room where the parents were whispering together and looked up when Sebastian cleared his throat to get their attention. When they looked up and saw the pair holding hands, they all burst out laughing.
"Why are you all laughing?"
Sebastian asked, clearly confused about why they were laughing. He glanced over at Kurt who was wearing the same look of confusion. When the laughter died off, Kurt gave Burt and Carole his famous bitch glare while Sebastian simply raised his eyebrow at his parents.
"Is that how you react when your son tries to tell you he has a boyfriend?"
Kurt spat out, clearly annoyed at the reaction they recieved. Sebastian gave Kurt's hand a squeeze in an attempt to calm him down. Burt looked over at Aidan Smythe and the to grinned at each other.
"We already knew you two were going out."
Burt said with a laugh and the others voiced their agreement. Now that made the couple even more confused. They never told them and the only people who knew were their closest friends and one..
"Rachel spilled about a year ago."
Carole said and got up, followed quickly by Burt and the Smythes. Now that as unexpected and Kurt made a mental note to kill Rachel later for letting this slip. Kurt sighed and lead into Sebastian, who wrapped his arm around his waist. So much for surprise.
"So you know all along?"
Sebastian asked and the parents nodded again. Well atleast he wouldn't have to explain everything again. He just now had to deal with the questions which he knew were going to come his way..
