"Do you have a new little crush on her?"

I replayed in my mind those words. Over and over again I heard them come out of the blonde's mouth.

I stood there and gave her a pretty unconvincing 'No.'.

When it comes to Sam Puckett, she's good at hiding feelings. When she's around me, well, that's a different story.

I don't know what it was, but after I said the unconvincing answer she seemed uneasy, like it bothered her.

Then again, why should I care?

We broke up. Mutually.

I couldn't get her face out of my mind. The way, from my perception, it just seemed to sink.

Why?

Knock. Knock.

The knocking snapped me out of my deep thoughts. I got up from the couch and opened my door.

There the blonde stood.

"Hey, Benson, thanks for letting me borrow your video camera for my project," She started.

"You were doing a school project?" I questioned. I mean we're talking about Sam here.

"Well, I'm failing, and I need to get my grade up, and I could go on, but I won't bore you with the details. Later," She said and started to leave.

"Wait," She stopped and looked back, "Can we talk for a sec?"

"About?"

"Earlier," I swallowed, "you looked hurt after I said no to the whole crush on Carly thing. Were you?"

"You're a bad liar, first of all. I don't even know what you're talking about; we broke up!"

"Just answer the question, Sammy." That face crept up on her again.

"Maybe a little, but we agreed, we're done. Now, I gotta go. Goodbye, Fredamame." She gently kissed my cheek, and I let her. She walked away and I shut the door.

I realized I didn't have a crush on Carly. I just wanted to find some way to get over Sam. I still hadn't.

"Goodbye, Fredamame."

I grabbed my laptop, out of curiousity, and typed in the search box "Amame".

It was Spanish, and the English translation was "Love Me".

"Goodbye, Fredamame."

"I already love you, Sammy," I said, into the empty room.
