"Reflection of You"

People create books, but do books create people?

We see ourselves in our favorite characters

With great destinies to fulfill

And dangerous paths to tread

There are such beautiful and terrible things to discover

And we wish to see them all

But then it's over…

Do we still carry with us

The lessons they learned and we learned with them?

I suppose Mr. Tolkien expected no less

And after he's shown us the world from different views

Each one new to us, each one true

I ask, which Hobbit, Elf, Dwarf, or Man

Is a reflection of you?

To my own Fellowship of friends and family, especially my best friend, Amy, who, although she doesn't know it, helped save me from last year.

To Wingleader Sora Jade (whose style of dedication I have borrowed) and Kora, who have reviewed all of my work and given me so much encouragement.

To anyone who dreams of the Shire or Lothlorien and sings Hobbit walking songs when they think no one is listening.

And last, but never least, to anyone who recognizes parts of themselves in these books, just like I do.

Author's Note: I would love to hear from you all and whom you can relate to. But if I'm asking, I guess I have to tell (uh-oh). Frodo Baggins, not that anyone was absolutely dying to know. Just some of his thoughts and his reactions to everything are so much like mine. (Hmmm…. I've figured something out. I'm no good at explaining what is going on in my head.) I'm just really introspective and kinda idealistic. (The most bizarre thing, is that it was pointed out to me by a little kid I was telling the story to.)
