LIGHT AND DARKNESS
Long ago amongst the Egyptian sands
a mighty king ruled over the lands.
He was a god to young and old
but with a heart icy cold.
Though surrounded by his subjects loyal
alone he was in his life royal.
Wrapped around him was an evil darkness
tainting his eyes with its blackness.
Until one day the king found
a most precious sound.
Laughter like a heavenly bell
broke through his heart's icy shell.
As the sound filled the soul of the mighty ruler
he caught sight of the intruder.
Pure amethyst orbs connected with dark ruby red
as their owners finally met.
Beauty like nothing he had ever seen,
not even Isis could have foreseen.
Skin touched skin
to a miracle akin.
Lips found lips,
hands on hips,
the sun into moon skips.
Light and darkness together melted
and the loneliness evaporated
as two halves of one soul
found each other amongst all.
