Here I am
Got the idea from geometry class when I was suppose to be paying attention to trig review for the OGT. I was listening to You Can't Take me by Bryan Adams but my mind was on Here I am by him – thanks to Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. And yes I still watch it. Well Here I am belongs to Bryan Adams and Wolf's Rain belongs to Nobumoto Keiko and Bones.
Howls were heard in the silent night, almost like it was a welcoming to someone or something. Whimpers were piercing the night air softly, as pain flared through her body. The pain came in waves, almost like the colliding waves hitting the sandy shore. Her front paws twitched every now and then for the urge to move around but she denied her body the urge.
The whimpers couldn't as she tried to help the waves disappear with the pushes she could muster up. With one last push, a howl escaped into the full moon night, as little whimpers came into the air. Turning her light grey muzzle to the noise, she could have smiled if she could.
Dark grey was the majority of its fur with the light grey being on its face and down to its belly.
Nuzzling the wet ball of fur, the whimpers continued as her pink tongue rolled out to wipe away the watery mucus.
Taking in the little new born pup – her pup – she wondered what his eyes would be like. Would they be like her father's a dark brown or be like her's the eerie yellow? With that being wondered, she came up with his name . . . Tsume.
Two months later . . .
Mother! He asked as he looked around, his little legs carrying him through the underbrush. His wide yellow eyes looked around until he felt something tackle him in that playful way.
Got ya! She chuckled as she licked his head, her tongue rolling in and out of her muzzle. Her eyes focused on the world around her for any danger that would cause harm to her pup.
Okay Mother. That's good. He whimpered as he moved away, his ear getting nipped lightly by his almost identical mother.
Tsume, go now.Looking up at her, he stared at her, wondering what she was meaning.
Go now! She screamed, urgency in her voice.
Running, fear crept into his heart, telling him something was wrong and it had him afraid for the first time in his life. Turning around and hiding within the dark green leaves, he watched what was going on.
Mother, what are you doing? What's that two-legged thing behind you? That question raced through his soft whimper before a loud, painful noise rang through the air. Mother.Once the coast was clear, he walked out, tears wanting to escape the golden eyes. Mother, get up.
Nuzzling her, he felt no movement in response, something that would tell him she was still there with him. With one last nuzzle, he walked away, the tears escaping his eyes as he felt alone in the world.
Mother, what happened? Looking up to the sky, it blurred from the tears as he let one howl out in the mourning on his mother.
Well I always wondered what Tsume's life as a pup was like and guess what that song helped me out on it. Well please tell me if you liked it or not. I like feedback minus the flamers.
