Mario was ready for his next trip to the Comet Observatory. This time he has an...alternate way of getting there this time. Instead of the usual way, the red plumber chose to switch things up a bit.
"Alright! I'm ready to go!" Mario sent a thumbs-up Peach's way. She nodded cheerfully while she takes a Fire Flower and swiftlyabsorbs it, throwing a fireball towards the fuse of a cannon he was currently loaded in.
BOOM!
"WAAAAHOOOOO!~"
Few moments later, Rosalina was waiting on the Comet Observatory with a comically long and fat cigar, decorated like a small gold galaxy, the ember at the end twinkling like a star. A group of Lumas were quick to catch Mario as soon as he landed, and they gently set him down. "Ah, Mario. Here once again, are you?"
"Yeah! Bet the Lumas wanna play again!" Mario beamed as the Lumas indeed surrounded him, cheering for him and wanting to play with him, carrying him off with bright expressions. Rosalina would meanwhile relax by sitting on a nearby star, taking a gentle drag of her cigar and blowing out star-shaped smoke rings. She pushed some of her hair away from her face as she calmly watches Mario and her Lumas playing.
Said Lumas were doign quite a few things with Mario, such as banding together to form a trampoline, playing tennis with mini-shooting stars, getting into a spinning-top contest with a bit more sizable star, and playing a bit of hide-and-seek with him. Mario was quite easy to find-unfortunately not being lean like Luigi-while the Lumas proved to be a much more difficult challange for him, seeing how they can disappear when he gets too close. One even had the slightest audacity to spin at him and playfully knock him over to send him even further off-track.
"Now now, no roughhousing, children. Play nicely." Rosalina gently scolded, the Lumas immediately nodding as they help Mario up. They soon continue playing with even further progression on the trampoline idea.
"Hopping on the stars...I can get behind that!" Mario grinned as he hopped up high, with the Lumas tending to fly after him in a swirlling cyclone of colors. Rosalina watched on with a tranquil look of amusement as she blows out a smoky star, which expanded slightly in a comical supernova.
After a couple hours of playing with the ever cheerful Lumas, Mario found himself tired out, and he wanted to get back to the Mushroom Kingdom as soon as remembered how Princess Peach sent him here, and thought she would replicate it.
"Peach sent you via cannon, didn't she? Let's return the favor~" Rosalina smiled, with Mario nodding at the offer.
"Right!" Mario once again did a thumbs up, ready to launch. Rosalina smiled as she lightly leands down and lights the fuse with her cigar. After a few tense moments...
BOOM!
"WAAAAAHOOOOO!~" Mario cheered, a trail of smoky stars following him after the launch.
Rosalina gently waved him farewell, placing her cigar back in her mouth while returning to tending to the Lumas, eager for his next visit.
