Reflections
Prologue:
She walked through the room quietly, pacing through the corridors of the last house she could remember entering. A dark presence was felt, and she gasped as she turned around and saw giant mirrors. They gleamed in the dark moonlight, but still, no matter how strong the light was, it did not have the power to penetrate the darkness.
'Am I dreaming?' she thought to herself. The long shards of glass dangling aimlessly from the walls frightened her, as if one glance could cut the skin in seconds.
One, however, struck her eye. It's light danced in her eyes as she moved closer, seemingly hypnotised by its beauty. She looked up to see her reflection, as any normal mirror would give...but something wasn't right. The girl stepped closer...closer...peering into the glass
Her reflection smirked at her. What is this?
Closer...closer...
Her skin, pale white as the snow, hair as dark as ebony, lips red as the darkest blood rose...but this was no fairy-tale princess. She was a nightmare.
Closer...closer...
Her eyes were filled with darkness, black surrounding her pupils, which were the colour of her blood. A demon? An angel? What?
Closer...closer...
"Who are you?" said the girl, staring at her former self, now stepping out of the mirror. She cupped her face in her cold hands, like ice, like death. No warmth. Like darkness.
The girl glanced up, shivering at the bitter cold that was now paralysing her body. 'What's happening?' and that was the last thing she thought to herself, before those evil eyes had engulfed her into the darkness...never to be touched by the moonlight again.
'You'll be safe now...'
