It's all my fault that he's dead. If I didn't kill myself so many years ago, Gonou...I mean, Hakkai...wouldn't have turned into a youkai. If I didn't kill myself, he wouldn't have felt guilty about my death. If I didn't kill myself, he wouldn't have killed himself.

"Hakkai...where are you going?" Goku looked up at the young man as he got up from the table and turned to leave the inn they were staying in.

Hakkai looked down at the young teen. "I'm...going out for a walk," the black-haired, green-eyed guy stated as he turned back and continued towards the front door. He continued on until he reached the agreed street corner, out of sight and far enough away from the inn that the others wouldn't have a high chance of finding him. "Okay, I'm here. What do you want to talk about?" Hakkai adjusted his monocle.

A man in all black and a hood pulled over his head walked out of the shadows. "I know a way...:" He whispered in an almost ominous voice.

"A way? For what?" Hakkai prompted the stranger to tell him more.

"A way to...to bring her back." The strange man smiled as Hakkai's forehead creased a bit more before understanding set in his eyes. "Yes, her. Your sister. Your lover. Kanan."

Hakkai let his mouth drop open a tiny bit. "But...she's dead. You can't just bring the dead back to live! That's impossible! It's...it's immoral!" He protested. His brain was telling him no, but his heart...his heart was to accept this man's offer and bring her back.

"Not completely. There is a way. You'll just have to give something in return." The man stated.

"Well, what is it?" Hakkai asked, intrigued. He knew it was probably a trap, he knew he shouldn't be playing into his hands. But Hakkai wanted her back, so he played the man's game.
The man smiled, he knew he had Hakkai, and the rest of the Sanzo party, right where he wanted him.
