REVIEW

Yumi was surrounded my darkness, the lamp casting ominous shadows on her wall, making

Them dance like they have been for millions of years. It was about 11:30 and she knew she

Should be sleeping but she had a stupid report due the next day.

Who cares about Shakespeare and why do the heck do WE have to write a love poem.

As If my own love life is going well.

That got her thinking. Once she thought of the L word, a certain boy came to her head and

once she began thinking of him she couldn't stop. She let her mind wander and began

imagining how great her life would have been if he returned her love half as much as she

loved him. Subconsciously her pen began to write. Words flowed with ease as if it were

destined to be written down. When Yumi finally noticed what she was doing she read what

she wrote.

I wish for someone

Who makes me smile during the darkest storm

I wish for someone

By my side so I won't have to cry alone

I wish for someone

To show me the light when I lose my way

I wish for someone

To look in my eyes and see the real me living inside

I wish for someone

To hold my hand when my heart becomes cold

I wish for someone

To hug me tight, our hearts beating as one

I wish for someone

To kiss me and temporarily make my pain invisible

I wish for someone

To whisper my name every night before he falls asleep

I simply wish for someone

To love me

Yumi read with surprise at how bold her words seemed to her. Yeah, she knew it didn't

rhyme but she thought that it had a lot of emotion in it. She had written her wants, her

desires, her needs on the single page of paper. She quickly folded it into a paper heart and

walked over to her window. The moon was full today but you could hardly tell because of

the gray clouds that wrapped around it. She pushed open her window and looked out at the

world with her brown, troubled eyes. She slowly ripped the heart in exactly in half and

tossed one into the winds to carry it where it may go. She later put her half in the pages

between her diary.

At Kadic

A young man was taking one of his famous "midnight strolls" trying to clear his mind of

the mess he calls his life. He was enjoying the cold, clean air that seemed to raise his spirits

with every breath he took. He looked up to look at the moon but it was being draped over

with clouds, when he saw something white flutter by. At first he thought it was a bird, but

as if fell toward him he really saw that it was a piece of paper. He caught it in the air and

carefully began to unfold it. He read what was inside and smiled. He didn't know who

wrote half the poem he was reading but it seemed familiar. He could relate to every word

and couldn't bear to throw it away. He later slipped it in his diary when his roommate

wasn't looking.

So yea there it is. Thanks for reading and please leave a review to tell me if I should continue writing or not. THANKS!
