The Doctor paced beside his controls while Rose was in the shower. Could he tell her? He hadn't even had the guts to tell Ida what he wanted to say. All he could get was, "Tell her…oh she knows!"

He really wanted to say, "Tell her…I love her," but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon!

He was the Time Lord; he had no time for feeling! And yet he still felt them. All the time, burning with more intensity than fire in heat. He always ignored it though. It was like that voice saying, "Jump, jump, jump!" only this one was saying, "Don't hide your feelings! She could feel the same! You never know! Tell her, tell her!"

And again, he ignored it. Always.

Tell her, tell her.

"Doctor?" came a voice from the door. The Doctor looked round to see Rose in clean clothes, and her hair soaked.

"Ah, hello! Good shower I trust?" answered the Doctor in his usual cheery voice, all the while having that voice in the back of his head, all the while ignoring it.

"Umm…yeah thanks. Look, Doctor, I need to talk to you," Rose bit her lip nervously.

"Go on, anything!" the Doctor said happily throwing his arms out in front of him.

Tell her, tell her.

"Well…Ida said you mentioned my name before you…fell," Rose said timidly.

"Fell? I didn't fall…I jumped," the Doctor was confused.

"Jumped? But Ida said you fell down the pit!"

"No, Rose. I jumped down there. I was abseiling down the wall, and then the cable ran out, so I jumped the rest. I wanted Ida to tell you…to tell you…"

Tell her, tell her.

"Yes Doctor?" Rose took a small step closer to him, a little bubble of hope welling up inside her.

You always ignore the voice in the back of your head, thought the Doctor angrily. "I wanted her to tell you that I was sorry for trapping you on the planet, but I found my TARDIS, so it doesn't really matter now!"

Pop went the bubble of hope.

"Oh, okay. I'll go get some sleep. You set the coordinates for somewhere else, yeah?"

"Yeah."

Idiot.

The Doctor set the coordinates, but he didn't know where – somewhere random. He'd let the TARDIS decide.

He took the regular trip to the bathroom before going to his room. He climben into bed, and fell asleep only minutes later. He was woken in a couple of minutes by a suction sound. The Doctor had no idea what it was, but he followed his wits and went to Rose's room.

No-one there…

Okay, so she wasn't in her room, nothing out of the ordinary, right? But the Doctor couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, Rose wasn't on the TARDIS.

He walked through the corridors, calling her name, but no answer. He even tried a little pet name, "Rosie-poo" but that didn't get a response either.

Now he worried.

He checked the TARDIS controls to find her, with no luck. He tried the sonic screwdriver to find her scent.

That worked.

He followed the screwdriver to somewhere he didn't know. It seemed to be some place he'd seen in a movie – the white walls and floors that gave it an eerie glow, the smell of hospital.

Hospital?

No…that can't be right…

What was that he could see?

No…it's not them, surely?

He knew that odd shape! Or should he say Ood shape?

Arggh! You wanna know what it is! Is it the Ood? Or is it something/one else? Well, if you wanna find out, you have to review, and it will no longer be a one-shot!

Please review!
