Okay, I'm posting my first Inu-Yasha fic. This was my first piece of Inu-Yasha fanfiction, and I've written quite a few others since. Inu-Yasha is my current writing passion. If the response is good to this one, I'll type up some more. Yes, I'm trying to cajole you readers into reviewing. So do so!
Disclaimer: Once again, if you sue me, you get my debts; I'm in college. I don't own the Inu-Yasha series in any way, shape, form or fashion.

The forest was dark, and Kagome could not see where she was going. She knew that her pursuer could, though. He was quickly gaining on her. The leaves wipped against her face as she tried desperately to out run him. Claws ripped through the space she had just occupied as she thanked for once her inadequate eyesight. She had tripped on a tree root and fallen to the ground. But she could hear the swish of air as he moved to strike again.
"Sit!" She screamed into the night air, but she knew it was no use. The spell no longer held control over him. Claws sliced into her chest.
"Why, Inu-Yasha? Why?" she sobbed into the quiet, tears streaming down her face. Then she lost conciousness.
Kagome opened her eyes to see Inu-Yasha standing above her. She screamed.
"Kagome! Hold it down! What's wrong? Did I startle you?" he said all at once. "You can't be angry with me for coming to get you. I agreed not to come here if you agreed to only stay four days. You've been gone five day; you broke your end of the bargain first."
Kagome blinked her eyes as the dream faded into the background. She turned on a light and waited until her eyes adjusted before saying "I know, Inu-Yasha. I'm sorry. My grandfather died the day before yesterday. I have to stay for the funeral. It's tomorrow."
"Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't know," he said as he tured around to face the wall.
"I know I should have come back to tell you I would be staying longer, but I guess I was afraid that you would try to stop me from leaving."
"I wouldn't have," he said softly.
"I know," Kagome said as she started to cry. Inu-Yasha turned at once and knelt by her bed.
"Kagome, please don't cry," he said as he wiped a tear from her eye. "I hate it when you cry," he added softly.
"It's just that I had a horrible nightmare," she said as the tears began to slow. She touched a hand to his chest. "But it was silly," she said as she lifted off the prayer beads.
