Lip Gloss
Disclaimer/A/N:sigh yes, I've been plagued with a lot of ideas for oneshots lately… please R&R my latest fanfic, please.
--Oh yeah. Inuyasha and Co. belong to Rumiko Takahashi…for now. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! …ahem.
Inuyasha wasn't spying on her per say. He was observing her…yea. That's it. Inuyasha was observing the futuristic girl in her natural habitat. His head was peeking over the top of her window, when he saw her put this cherry-smelling shiny stuff on her lips. 'I wonder what that tastes like…' he wondered. 'With that sweet smell emitting from it, it must taste good.' He sat up straight on the roof, when he heard Mrs. Higurashi call Kagome to breakfast. Leaping down to the ground, he decided to make his debut.
When Kagome ran down stairs from getting herself ready for school, she spotted Inuyasha happily eating breakfast with the rest of the family. She grimaced. "Are you taking me back already?"
With his mouth full of rice and egg, he tried to reply, "Nah, I jus wan-ed some breh-fas, cuz no one's gonna cook it as guh as this on the other side."
She nodded her head, grabbed her backpack, and yelled as she was going out the door, "Sorry mama! No time for breakfast, can't be late!" And with that, she sprinted off to school.
A few minutes after she left, Mrs. Higurashi found Kagome's forgotten lunch. Calling Inuyasha, she asked, "Can you please bring this to Kagome? She'll be so hungry at lunch time when she finds out there is no lunch." He curtly nodded at this request, took his signature baseball cap along with the lunch, and away he went.
By the time he got to the school, Kagome was panting at the front door. 'Her lips are still glistening from that cherry-smelling stuff she put on half an hour ago,' Inuyasha noted. His cheeks quickly stained with crimson. He regained his lost composure and called to the schoolgirl, "Oi! Kagome; you forgot your lunch!" Pulling it out of his haori, he walked up to the now thankful girl; but all he saw were those sweet-smelling pink lips. He subconsciously handed the sack of food to her and leaned toward her face. She looked puzzled by this move, but didn't move away. Kagome breathed softly, "Inuyasha…. what are you—" She was cut off by his lips pressed on to hers and she momentarily forgot how to breathe.
When he pulled away, he licked his lips. 'Just what I thought--cherry.' Both their cheeks were tinged pink, but Kagome narrowed her eyes when she saw him lick his lips. "Is that why you kissed me! Just to get the flavor from my lip gloss!" She kept her eyes narrowed as she looked to see if there weren't any people around. "OSUWARI!"
Inuyasha's eyes widened at the first accusation and he started flailing his arms around. "No! It wasn't that at all! I—" and he hit the dirt.
