Rachel T. McKenzie sat idly on her knees at the base of the most beautiful spont in the state of West Virginia. The blowing air sent an odd chill down her spine, that tenderized the moment. Her watch gleamed 10:42, and the awareness of her brother being worried sick didn't sting like it usually did.
Emerald grass shown blue soothed her nerve, and the noise of the neerby highway reminded her of her lover since grade 4. His vanishing act scared her stiff, and to this day, she still sits in the very spot she recieved her first sweet kiss. The details of that night were memories that she swore she would never let escape her mind.
What nobody saw, was his travel headed West into the night sky. She wasn't sure if anyone saw her eyes soften at every mention of the west coast, but scarcly anything pleased her more.
Rachel stood up, the wind blowing her hair East, and she bent down just enough for her arms to rest against the ledge. She sighed deeply and gazed at the night stars, feeling the silver tear roll down her cheek. The edges of her lips curled up.
She didn't have to know where he went, but no mater what anyone said, she would always believe that he would come back. She would always believe in him, because she believed in forever.
