Wally West could feel it. He could sense it in the very core of his body as he pushed the limits of his boundaries even further and further as he forced himself to run even faster than he has ever ran before.
It was as if his brain has finally caught up with him; his mind finally registering the fact that he was most likely going to die.
As if his mind was giving him a farewell send off; as if his life was a long documentary that was summed up in a short trailer with only the best parts included; he finally saw his life flash before his very eyes.
His first kiss with his childhood friend, Linda. Christmas morning with his parents on the day he received a chemistry set from "Santa." Becoming best friends with aunt Iris. Realizing that uncle Barry was his favorite superhero. Becoming Kid Flash. The day he met Dick. The formation of the team with Dick, Kaldur, and him. Harmless flirting with M'gann while Conner gets annoyed over it. Saving Perdita's life. Having silly arguments about science and magic with Zatanna and Raquel. Getting accepted into Stanford. Leaving the superhero business. Roy's intervention. Meeting Bart.
As everything starts to fade to black; as he was one second closer to nonexistence; just as it was about to dawn on him that something important was missing; his last thought was on her.
