Shortish, sad, oneshot ficlet on Kagura from Speed Grapher. Wrote in a hurry; sorry if its not entirely canon. Thats just what I do. I hope you like it! Wrote while listening to Orange Range.

Kagura had always loved to dance.
When she was a toddler, she had begged and pleaded until her mother put her in ballet lessons. The now limber and graceful girl would always put on little ballet shows for her mother and company. She had always been diligent in her practicing. When she had started school, she had kept up with her practicing as well as her studies, never failing in either. This had continued throughout elementary school and middle school. As she grew, she got better and better. Every time she was aksed to perform at another gathering or celebration, she happily agreed. Her mother nodded, and said 'As long as it does not interfere with your studies.'
Kagura loved to dance, but her mother was a strict woman.
And although she never told anyone, Shinsen was a very jealous woman. This acidic jealousy had only begun to manifest itself after her daugher had started dancing. It was more than just Kagura's hobby now, it was her life. And what better way to cool her jealousy than to wreck that beautiful, wondrous life her daughter had started for herself?
The day Kagura ran home gleefully shouting "I got in! I got in!" after recieving her acceptance letters to the most prestigeous high school in the area, was the day her mother decided to clip her wings for good. Her mother gave her a forced smile, covered her eyes, and led her to the 'Congratulatory Surprise' she had prepared for her.
She led her daughter to the caged prison that would now be her home, pushed her in, and locked the door. Kagura was confused, then angry, then depressed. Her ballet, jazz, and freestyle dance classes were cancelled. Kagura was heartbroken.
A tiny ray of hope glimmered in her eyes when her mother told her she'd found Kagura a new place to take 'dance lessons'. This flame was doused with water as the manager of the Roppongi club nodded his head to Shinsen and handed Kagura her new 'clothes'. She refused them, but her mother slapped her, calling her an ignorant girl, and ordered her to put them on. Kagura knew that her mother's word was law; If she didn't do what she said, she wasn't fed. For a week.
Kagura was assigned to the Roppongi club in Tokyo's pleasure district, and started dancing there two weeks before the start of high school. None of her friends or aquaintances knew what she did; schoolgirl by day, stripper by night.
Yet, even in the darkest of times, she was still able to find hope in the fact that she was dancing again. She was doing what she loved, albeit a different variation. And if she did as she was told, maybe, someday, she could go back to her old way of life.
After all, a dancer never really stops dancing. They just change directions.
I loved the last line. I made that up myself, because it is in fact true. I hope you liked this fic!
