Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans.
I walked onto the roof. Raven was standing there, not meditating, as I would expect from her, just standing there. She was as beautiful as ever.
I walked closer to her, patting what I had in my pocket. Gently, I tapped her on the shoulder.
She turned around. Even though her hood was down, I could still see her eyes. A dark violet; so full of emotion, unlike her face; they were almost hypnotic. "What?"
"Um, well," I began uneasily, "We're, um, pretty good friends, and, um, I, uh…" Crap. I was losing it. Pull yourself together, Beast Boy. Don't lose it!
I gulped, then continued, "Look, I know that we're good friends, and I know that you're not supposed to feel emotion, but still, I-"
"If you're going to tell me you love me, save it," she said bitterly. "I don't do love."
"Raven," I said (okay, begged), "please, just let me in. You don't have to love me back. I just want you to know that I do love you."
She stared at me. "How-I mean, that is to say, what?"
I got brave and took her hand. "I love you."
I could tell she didn't get it. "You're amazing, Raven. How you have such control over your powers, your emotions…I wish I had that kind of control over myself. And you're smart, funny-and you know you can stop me any time."
"I know," she said with a slight smirk.
I smiled. "And," I said taking both her hands and moving closer, "you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."
"B-beautiful?" she said, shocked, obviously.
"Mm-hm."
Suddenly, she pulled out of my grip and wrapped her arms around my neck. I felt small tears falling on my shoulder.
"Rae, what's wrong?" I asked.
"I was scared for you," she whispered. "When you turned into that Beast." She pulled her head back, and her hood fell down.
"I owe you my life," she said.
I wrapped my arms around her. "I would have done that for you any day, Beast or not."
I reached into my pocket. I pulled out what I had for her.
"Here," I said. "It's for you."
The it in question was a small dark gray box.
Raven opened it gingerly. Inside was a small metal necklace I made for her, with a little black raven charm.
She looked at me. "Did you make this?"
"With my own two hands!" I said, smiling.
She smiled and put it on, much to my delight. "Thank you, Garfield," she said softly. She started crying again.
"Why are you crying?" I asked stupidly.
She locked her beautiful violet eyes onto mine. "Because I'm so happy," she said, with that little smile I loved. Once again, she wrapped her arms around my neck. She rested her head on my chest. I, for one, didn't mind one bit!
I rested my chin on her head. "I love you," I said.
She pulled her head up. "I love you too." We both leaned in, and kissed each other. For me, it was the happiest day of my life.
