Chapter 1: Water Balloons and This Means War

Fred and George Weasley were throwing water balloons at first years when Fred accidentally threw one at Professor Snape. Now if it'd been anyone else they would have at least pretended that they were sorry but not Fred. No, he was laughing just as much as his twin was.

The first years had scattered the moment it happened, they didn't want to be on the receiving end of Snape's anger.

"Mister Weasley, detention and ten points from Gryffindor," Professor Snape said, water dripping down his nose. He couldn't help thinking that if it had happened to Minvera then it would have been funny but it hadn't happened to her. No, like always it had happened to him.

"Which Weasley?," Fred asked cheekily."There's two of us." "Well, I wouldn't want either of you to feel left out so both you," Professor Snape replied, smirking.

"You take yourself way too seriously did you know that?," George asked, doing his best not to burst out laughing when he wiped the smirk of Snape's face.

"Fifty points from Gryffindor and two weeks detention for both of you," Professor Snape drawled, satisfiedwhen neither Fred or George were smiling anymore.

Anyone else would have kept their mouths shut and let Professor Snape walk away an once he was gone insult him but not the Weasley twins.

"By taking those points just proves that you do take yourself too seriously," Fred said, with arms folded across his chest. George copied his actions.

"A hundred points from Gryffindor another two weeks detention," Professor Snape said, this was now a battle of wills and he didn't intend to lose. "I can take points all day and when Gryffindor gets to Zero I'll start taking points from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw just because I can."

Fred and George looked at each other their own house was going to kill them for the points they had lost they didn't really want a bunch of angry Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs after their blood too.

Knowing he'd won this battle Professor Snape walked away as Fred and George glared him.

"You know what this means don't you George?." "Yep, all out war between us and Snape," George replied, grinning.

"He may have won this battle," Fred said, with a gleam in his eyes. "But we will win the war."

It is a bad idea to tell Professor Snape that he takes himself too seriously.
