Wow! It's been so long! I'm going to do my best to rewrite these chapters as quickly and as best I can. I will have a star * or two stars ** or three.. or four. next to the chapters that are rewritten. I truly hope that this works out okay. I also will probably be adding in a few new details and things that happen, just to make the chapters longer and the story a little more interesting. Here we go! Many years later! R.

Chapter 1: Could This Day Get Any Worse?*****

"John, I need your help. I don't know what to do," I panicked, reaching out and grabbing my friends shoulder. My breathing was uneven from the anxiety I was feeling and from also hurrying down the hall to find my best friend before his match.

"Woah, Randy. Slow down, why do you need my help?" He placed his hands on both my shoulders, pushing down slightly to calm me down. His eyes were full of worry as he stared at me.

"I just got a call from Sam. She said something about having another baby. Another baby who is two years old now. We've been divorced for a little over two years and she's just now telling me about this? What the hell is going on? It's impossible. Alanna is my only child," I spoke, trying to convince myself of the fact more than I was trying to convince him.

"You may want to consider the fact that you may actually have another one. Don't you remember the months before the divorce? You were pretty hot and heavy all the time. Everywhere, for that matter. You quite possibly have another child, my friend." His hand began to pat my shoulder, and he gave me that straight lip face that he does when he's taking the conversation seriously.

"I can barely handle taking care of Alanna right now, how does she expect me to pay child support when she took all of my money?" My shoulders slumped. At this point, I was being more than overdramatic. I had money, I was just making dumbass excuses as to why I couldn't have another child.

"Man, this is why I don't ever want to have kids. It's just a big fucking mess. I don't know what to tell you, just keep your head up. You're a great father to Lanny, I'm sure you will be just fine with another one." And with that, he gave me a small smile and walked out for his match.

I walked passed many of my friends and coworkers, trying not to make eye contact with any of them. I gave Cody and Manu a head nod before making my way into my private locker room where my little girl was coloring in her Ariel princess dress. Mickie and Candice were sitting on the couch talking to one another and watching John's match on the big screen. Alanna turned and scurried into my arms when she heard the door close.

"Daddy, can we go home now?" She asked, her voice high pitched and in a whine.

"Not yet princess, you're getting tired though, aren't ya?" I spoke to her, snuggling her close to me.

She nodded into my neck.

"I want to sleep in my daddy's bed tonight." I nodded and sighed.

"Candy, Mickie, can you let Steph know that I'm leaving early tonight? I've gotta get the little one home to bed. It's been a couple weeks for her.

"Not a problem Randy. Goodnight you two. Sleep tight Lanny!" They spoke, waving goodbye to us and handing me Alanna's bag of clothes and toys. The four year old princess had her hands gripped around my neck, tighter than usual. I could tell that she was about to fall asleep. Once her grip loosened, I knew she was out. I met Shawn, who was walking with his son Cameron. They were headed back toward the locker rooms.

"Hey Randy, how's it going?" He asked in a whisper, noticing the sleeping child in my arms. I shrugged.

"It's going. We've had a lot of stuff going on these past couple weeks. Just trying to get home now to get a good night's sleep for once before we head back out next week. How are you guys?"

"We are good, Cam here left his stuff in the locker room, so we have to run back and grab those so we can head home to see Rebecca and Cheyenne before it gets too late. You're driving back tonight?"

"Yeah, it's not too far, just two hours. Lanna doesn't do well on flights, so it's easier this way."

"Alright, well be safe driving, and Randy, if you ever need anything. You just give me a call, alright?" I nodded and we said our goodbyes.

I made my way out to my black Hummer, quietly and slowly putting my sleeping princess into her car seat, doing my best not to wake her. She stirred as I clicked the buckle, but was soon back to her light sleeping breathing. I sighed and slowly closed the door. I leaned myself up against the driver's side door, closing my eyes, just to take in everything that had happened this evening. I shouldn't have ever left her. She was fucking crazy, but I shouldn't have left her. We had a family together, and she was the only woman who had stayed with me through everything. I had had previous flings and relationships before her, but none ever stayed. No matter how much they claimed to have loved me, my career and persona was something most couldn't handle. Sam did though. She understood crazy. She liked my hectic schedule. Whether it was so that she could screw the shit out of her boy toys while I was away, or because she liked the money and alone time she got because of my job, I would never know. I lifted my head and returned to real life when I heard a soft tap on the backseat window. She was awake. I opened my door and sat inside and turned myself around.

"Hey baby girl, go back to sleep. Daddy's here," I spoke softly, watching her yawn and stretch out her tiny arms.

"Are we going home daddy?" I nodded.

"Yeah, we are going home."
