Cloud couldn't help wondering if agreeing to this had been a big had never seen Reno grinning quite so scarily before.
The red-headed Turk smirked lazily, sliding his EMR back and forth over his shoulder in one of the most suggestive movements the chocobo-headed mercenary had ever seen.
"Well Cloudy-boy, ya gonna play or ya gonna pass?"
Cloud gulped but hid it as well as he could "of course I'm playng..."
The smirk widened, verging on a leer now.
With great ceremony, Tifa brought out the bottle and six shot glasses - three for each of them
Reno's knee waved casually back and forth now and Cloud had to fight to keep his eyes off him.
Reno poured the first two shots and raised his glass with a mocking smile. Cloud had never heard a swagger in a voice before, but Reno unquestionably had one.
"Here's to you Cloudy-boy..."
Cloud grabbed his glass and drained his shot.
Tifa rolled her eyes. Boys were so stupid some-... no, she corrected herself, make that all of the time.
Reno's eyes glittered. "Keen ain ya Spike... don't let it go to your little chocobo head yet..."
Cloud ignored teh flash of fury and grabbed the next one, downing it in one, angry.
Reno blinked and fumbled to catch up.
They both drained their last shots.
There was a sigh and a thump, then Tifa emerged from behind the bar, collected both comatose men, and removed them from the room.
Then she smiled a very scary smile. She would teach them to play THAT game again... she went to find her lover and Yuffie.
Reno was the first to regain conciousness the next day. He got up and stumbled to the mirror in a bid to assess the damage.
Cloud scraped himself out of bed feeling like soemthing Sephiroth had stabbed then done a victory dance all over. He stared through bleary eyes at the mirror.
Twin screams echoed from the top floor of the Seventh and Tifa grinned.
She'd always known cloud and Elena were the same size, and Yuffie had been only too glad to contribute to the skeletal Reno.
Downstairs the three conspirators raised their glasses and drank to lessons learned.
