Well... its been a few years since I wrote anything, but I recently rediscovered and I'm now a Naruto Fanboy so I thought what the hell?
I just hope no one else has done this yet, and I'm sorry if someone has, but I was half asleep and thought up this idea.

They were on the bridge, waiting for Kakashi-sensie, again. Naruto was tossing pebbles into the river, Sasuke was cleaning his nails with a kunai, and Sakura was ogling Sasuke like she always did.
"Why is he ALWAYS late?" Naruto was running out of rocks and was bored to tears.
Suddenly in a puff of smoke, their teacher finally arrived. "Hi gang! Sorry I'm late. You see, I got lost on the road of life-"
"You used that one already." Sakura interrupted.
"Oh... well... I was helping an old lady across the street and-"
"That one too." Sasuke said.
"Um... I took a wrong turn and-"
"That was last week's." Naruto this time.
"Well... there was a pretty lady?"
His students just glared at him, they where not amused.
"I got a new book and decided to read it on the way?" He seemed almost desperate now.
"Kakashi-sensie, why don't you just tell us the REAL reason you're late?"
Kakashi sighed, his shoulders slumped over in defeat. "I forgot to set my alarm."
The three just stared at him. "YOU, one of the best ninja in the whole hidden village, are late because you OVERSLEPT!?"
