White Rose
He had finally built up the courage. After two LONG years, he was ready. Naruto strode boldly into the Yamanaka flower shop and walked up to the counter. Clearing his throat, he said, "Excuse me, but I'd like to buy a flower."
Ino looked out from behind her newspaper to see who was speaking. "Oh," she said disappointed. "Its just you, Naruto. What do you want?"
His face turned scarlet for a moment as he took a deep breath. "One white rose, please!" he stated boldly.
Ino stared at him for a moment. "So, finally declaring your love, eh Naruto?" she said, smirking. "It took you long enough."
"YOU KNOW!?"
"…Naruto, everybody knows. We're not stupid."
",,,oh."
"Well," she said, standing up. "One white rose it is then. You know that white roses are expensive, right? And we don't take credit."
Naruto fished around in his pockets for a few moments before producing a frog-shaped coin purse which was completely full. "I can pay. This is important, Ino. I wouldn't come without money."
With her back facing her somewhat disgruntled customer, Ino smiled to herself. Pretty much everyone in the village had been waiting for this day for years. She selected the fullest white rose she had available, selected a few smaller flowers for accent, and wrapped then in a bouquet. She turned around and handed them to Naruto. "Here you go! One white rose. Now pay up!"
Naruto counted out the required money, and handed it to Ino. She sat back on her chair and unfolded her paper, but she continued to watch him until he was out of sight.
Back at home, Naruto rummaged through his closet until he found what he wanted. He pulled out a long black garment bag, and unzipped it, revealing a black tuxedo suit, black dress shirt, and white tie. After rummaging around his drawers for a bit, he came across a pair of black socks. He removed his belt from a hook in his closet, and proceeded to hunt for his dress shoes, eventually finding them under the bed. "Alright," he said, taking a deep breath and letting it out again. "I'm all set." He then proceeded to put on the suit, paying careful attention to each and every minor detail. Once he was ready, he picked up his rose from the table, and walked outside.
While he was walking, he received several greetings and compliments from friends and neighbors.
"So, you're finally doing it Naruto?"
Naruto spun around to see who had just spoken. It was Kiba. "Yeah," Naruto said sheepishly, turning red again. "And don't laugh at me!"
"I wasn't planning on it, Naruto. You look good. You'll do fine. Good luck!"
"Thanks Kiba!" Naruto said cheerily, continuing his walk.
He finally arrived at his destination. He knocked on the door gently, and when it opened, he held out his rose.
"S-s-s-s-sasuke… Will you go out with me?"
