It was Valentine's day when Takeru got sick. He had a high fever earlier that day, therefore his mother forced him to stay at home and take a rest. Unfortunately, his mother has an important interview that couldn't be canceled or rescheduled so he has to stay at home alone. After taking a nap for a couple hours, he decided to watch TV just to kill his boredom. As he was switching the TV programs, he heard the bell ringing.
He quickly walked into the door and opened it. He was surprised to see a brunette girl carrying two big bags. He smiled brightly for the first time on that day when she asked his condition. He said that he was fine. Without waiting any longer, he asked the brunette to come into his apartment.
"What did you bring, Hikari-chan?" asked him curiously as they walked into his living room. The brunette put those bags on the living room table and then she sat on the brown sofa.
"Chocolates from your fan girls, what else? I heard they were so frustrated that they couldn't give it to you personally since you were absent today. They decided to put their chocolates on your desk. Daisuke-kun asked me to bring along those chocolates when I visit you. He was worried that some envy boys would sabotage or give any poison to those chocolates if they were left on your desk. He didn't want you to be dying early," said Hikari. She couldn't resist herself not to chucked and so did Takeru.
"Well, I kinda feel guilty to the girls who gave me that chocolates. But I think Daisuke melted my heart much better," joked him. Hikari laughed so hard. She was sure that Daisuke would get protest to the blonde if he were here.
"Emm... and what about you, Hikari-chan?" asked Takeru nervously. He expected to get one chocolate from this brunette girl. After all, what's the point of getting a lot of chocolates if Hikari doesn't give him one. Hikari shook her head while smiling a "sorry" smile. Takeru was so disappointed, but he tried hard not to show it to her. He smiled bitterly.
"I'm sorry Takeru-kun, I'm not giving you any valentine chocolates. Instead, I'll give you this," told her as she handed one of the bag to him. Takeru was confused when he received the bag. And as he saw what's inside the bag, he smiled brightly.
"Apple pie!" shouted him happily.
"Well I already predicted you to get a lot of chocolates, I decided to make something different. So here it is, a valentine apple pie for my boyfriend. Well I hope that you..." Hikari didn't finish her sentence as she felt Takeru's lips on her cheek. Her face became red, especially when she saw Takeru's bright smile when he said "Thank you, Hikari-chan. This is the best valentine present for me! I'm glad to have you as my girlfriend!". And of course, Hikari smiled back at him.
