Arashi: This is another request fic that Darkangel08 wants. Truthfully I have been playing around with this idea for some time. It's a mix of fall/winter fic instead of Christmas wise so it would be fitting. This fic is completely au and probably has some ooc in it. Dog Tags
Summary: Duke decides to get a pair of dog tags with their initials on a collar he has special order for Joey as a gift. He hopes Joey will pick up the hidden message with in it.
On a beautiful day of an autumn day, a man of twenty-three gazes around lost in his thoughts. The weight in his pocket makes him remember the reason its there. He gulps hoping his boyfriend of four years will accept the gift. Sure he calls him puppy a few times and the dog suit incident that happen a couple of times after the first time the blond wore it makes the raven to smile.
He runs a hand through his ebony locks as his emerald eyes spots the familiar figure of his boyfriend, Joey. He waves over to the blond making the other to run towards him shivering a bit. He chuckles watching those puppy brown eyes twinkles with love just for him. He smiles a bit glancing at the bench with the recent bought hot chocolate handing it over to the blond
"Thanks," Joey replies drinking the hot drink only to yelp finding it's still hot.
Duke scolds the blond mildly, "Be careful mutt it's still hot."
"Quit calling me that Dice boy," the blond retorts with out much heat blushing at the man's raise brow before smiling.
Duke gazes around the park in New York. Yes this is the spot he wants to present his love the gift. He gulps a bit pulling the box out of his pocket. He leads Joey to the bench near by just as a couple of fall color leaves falls on top of the blond's head.
Joey's eyes widen as Duke bends on one knee opening the box to have a soft leather collar with dog tags with their initials greets his eyes.
Duke coughs out with embarrassment, "I had a long speech for these and plans for a dinner before I ask of this but I have to do this or else I'll chicken out. Joey will you marry me?"
Joey's eyes waters up at the words and hopeful look in those green eyes. He puts down his chocolate hugging Duke answering softly, "Yes you silly Dice boy."
Duke smiles with relief staring down at his new fiancé whispering, "Love you."
The blond returns the words with love in his voice, "Love you to, Duke."
