DISCLAIMER: The Sentinel belongs to UPN and Pet Fly productions. I think now the Sci-Fi channel owns it too. You Talk Too Much belongs to Joe Jones and Reginald Hall.

AUTHOR'S NOTES: Blair talks too much! I decided it was time the gang told him so.

YOU TALK TOO MUCH

"So anyway, Jim, there's this new TA down at Rainier, she's really hot, and…"

All of Major Crimes stifled a grin. Jim tried not to glare at them.

"So I went up to her the other day and…"

Jim began humming a little tune under his breath.

"I asked…" Blair's stream of chatter stopped. "Jim, man, what are you humming?"

Rather than answer, Jim began to sing:

"You talk too much/You worry me to death/You talk too much/You even worry my pet/You just talk/Talk too much."

"Aw, Jim-" Blair started to protest.

Carolyn poked her head around the corner. "You talk about people that you don't know/You talk about people wherever you go," she sang cheerfully.

"You just talk/Talk too much," the ex-spouses sang together.

Before Blair could say anything more, Simon appeared in the doorway to his office. "You talk about people that you've never seen/You talk about people you could make me scream." He sang, just a bit off-key.

"You just talk/Talk too much!" The three cops finished.

The entire department gave a round of applause. "Encore! Encore!" One detective hollered.

"OK! OK!" Blair held up his hands in surrender. "I get the message! So like I was saying, I asked her out, and she said…"

This time, the department couldn't hold in their laughter. "I don't think he got the message," Carolyn said.

"I don't think he'll ever get the message," Simon responded. In truth, he hoped the kid never did. If he did, he just wouldn't be Blair anymore.
