Dean walked through the forest searching for Cas. Sam followed close behind him, "Find anything?" Dean shouted, "No, nothing. Maybe he's not here. Maybe he got up and walked away," Sam said. Dean turned around, shining the flashlight into Sam's eyes, "He has to be here somewhere an-and where would he go? He wouldn't just leave," Dean said, trying to convince himself. Sam sighed and told him that they should split up and to call out if they found anything. Dean agreed and they split.

Dean walked through the empty forest calling out for Cas, hoping to get a reply back, but he didn't. He slowly started to give up, until he found Cas' overcoat attached to a tree branch. He pulled it down and held onto it tightly, "No, Cas," he whispered. He kept walking and looked up at the trees for any other clothing Cas might have lost, but there was nothing. Dean decided to take a break, so he leaned against a small tree and looked up at the sky, "I'll find you Cas, if it's the last thing I'll do, I'll find you," he said and kept on walking.

Cas lay on the ground in a pile of leaves. He groaned as he came to and tried to sit up. As he got hold of his balance he felt strange, different, he didn't feel like himself. He looked around trying to make sense of what happened, but couldn't focus. He fell to the ground and started crying. He curled up against a tree and sobbed into his hands. He felt lost and alone and he blamed himself for what happened.

Dean kept walking slowly through the mess of branches until he saw someone on the ground shaking, "Cas?" He whispered and ran up to him. He bent down throwing the overcoat around Cas and sat next to him. Cas shifted over curling up closer to Dean,"Dean, what did I do," he asked through sobs. Dean wrapped his arm around him, holding him closer to his chest, "I don't know, Cas, but we'll fix it alright? Its not your fault. You couldn't have done anything to stop it," he said. Cas buried his face into Dean's jacket and cried into him. Dean wrapped both arms around him tightly and kissed him on the head,"It's okay, I'm here. I won't let those sons of bitches touch you, okay?"

Cas lifted his head up to wipe his eyes and nodded before laying down on Dean's chest again. Dean rubbed Cas on the back to calm him down, "What happens now? With me? I'm just human now," Cas mumbled. Dean frowned,"You stay with Sam and I. We'll teach you how to be a hunter, how to do human things," he said. Cas smiled, "Hmm, that sounds nice," he said his words sluring together. Dean chuckled, "Aww, are you getting tired?" He asked looking down at Cas who was drifting off, "Huh? No, I'm-I'm not-I'm awake," he said stumbling on his words, "Shh, just sleep. I'll stay here until you wake up," he said running his fingers through Cas' hair. Cas smiled,"That feels funny. What are you doing?" He asked smiling. Dean grinned,"Oh, do you want me to stop? I just thought it would help calm you down," he said. Cas shook his head,"No! No, don't stop. It works keep going," Cas said yawning. Dean smiled and started running his finger through Cas' hair again. He felt as Cas slowly drifted into a heavy sleep and couldn't help but hold him and fall asleep too.
