~Hello all of you wonderful people out there. My name is Sophia, and since
I heard this song, I could not get Jareth out of my mind. It had been three
years since I'd last seen The Labyrinth, and I'd forgotten about it. Until
a friend of mind brought over a CD by Savage Garden. And as soon as they
started to sing, the Goblin King flashed into my mind. I hope he does when
you read these lyrics. I am not making money, and I do not own this song
nor the characters it reminds me of. I have placed the names Sarah and
Jareth where I would imagine they would sing this. Jareth is looking at
Sarah through his crystal and hears her call his name. They are thinking of
eachother, and singing to eachother, but he is underground and she is
aboveground. Enjoy and review if you'd like to. ~Sophia~
I DON'T KNOW YOU ANYMORE- by Savage Garden
{Jareth}
I would like to visit you for a while
Get away
And out of this city
{Sarah}
Maybe I shouldn't have called
But someone had to be the first to break
{Jareth}
We can go sit on your back porch
Relax
Talk about anything
It don't matter
{Sarah}
I'll be courageous
If you can pretend that you've forgiven me
{Both}
Cause I don't know you anymore
I don't recognize this place
The picture frames have changed
And so has your name
We don't talk much anymore
We keep running from the pain
But what I wouldn't give
To see your face again
{Jareth}
Springtime in the city
Always such a relief
From the winter freeze
{Sarah}
The snow is more lonely than cold
If you know what I mean
Everyone's got an agenda
{Jareth}
Don't stop
Keep that chin up
You'll be alright
Can you believe what a year it's been
{Sarah}
Has your opinion changed
{Both}
Cause I don't know you anymore
I don't recognize this place
The picture frames have changed
So has your name
We don't talk much anymore
We keep running from these sentences
What I wouldn't give to see your face again
{Sarah}
I know I let you down
Again and again
{Jareth}
I know I never really treated you right
I've paid the price
I'm still paying for it every day
{Sarah}
So maybe I shouldn't have called
Was it too soon to tell
Oh what the hell
It doesn't really matter
{Both}
How do you redefine something
That never really had a name
{Sarah}
Has your opinion changed
{Both}
Cause I don't know you anymore
I don't recognize this place
The picture frames have changed
And so has your name
We don't talk much anymore
We keep running from the pain
But what I wouldn't give
To see your face again
{Jareth}
To see your face
{Sarah}
To see your face
