She bit down her lip –hard.
Just the way the words that were glaring at her from her screen and into the darkness of the room were describing the actions of the two protagonists of the story.
She fidgeted in her seat –her breath laboured and her eyes hardly able to focus on the screen as her vision blurred.
She had to remember to take note of this author, she was ridiculously good. She could see the scene play out in front of her as if she was watching a movie.
The sudden hand clap and the lights turning on at the sound made her jump out of her skin.
"Tia," Rocket's voice was throaty –just like it was described in the fanfic she was reading, "What are you doing… it's almost morn –" his sleepy eyes suddenly focused somewhere behind her head and Tia realized a second too late that she forgot to close the page, "WHAT THE HELL?"
He jumped out of the bed and she slammed the laptop shut.
He had seen it, though, it was hard to miss with the glittery headline, and there was even a huge photomanip by the side of the page that established the stars and the content of the website quite clearly. The damage was done.
"'Shrine of Rocket/Sinedd Fans?'" he asked in disbelief.
She looked up at his comical expression; a cross between horror, incomprehension and disbelief.
"It's hot," she mumbled.
His eyebrows went skywards and his jaw dropped. He had to be seated for this conversation. He flopped down onto the bed.
"With the two of us; it's always the knight-in-shining-armour you and the angelic-crybaby me," she argued with a frown.
"They must not know you well," he disregarded with a wave of his hand. He scratched his stubble, "Why Sinedd?"
"It's hot," she repeated.
Rocket looked at her for a long moment before crawling back under the sheets:
"I better be on top."
