Warnings: The rating is there for a reason, Foul Language! Be Careful, Duckies!
Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts, nor any of it's characters! But I do own a Roxas plushie! It is currently glaring at my pillow.
To The Duckies:
Thanks for reading! Enjoy! This story has been changed completely, I feel this has been done for the best. The original plot was full of too many holes that I just couldn't seem to fill. I was not proud of what I had written and if I'm not happy with it then there is no way on earth that anyone else could be either. The older version has been burned and banished the the fiery place where bad stories go and do not return. I enjoy this one much more. My apologies for those who read the original.

"Roxas! Let's get a move on! Your plane leaves in an hour."
A mop of blonde hair rose from his bed and groaned in annoyance. Summer Vacation had been in full swing for about a month, which meant that the most dreadful thing was about to happen. 'Vacation' At least, that's what his mother calls it. In this 'So-Called Vacation' said blonde is forcefully sent all the way across the country to some remotely unknown land called a 'Farm' where his aunt Aerith resides. Roxas absolutely hated the place, to be honest. Why they go back every year Roxas had no idea, but unfortunately when it came time to vote for their vacation spot he was out voted 2 against one. Honestly, if you had the choice between a farm and a casino where would you go?
"Fifteen minutes, Roxas!"
Tearing off his sheets in a huff and stepping on the the cold hardwood floor, Roxas stood to his feet and faced the mirror. A feeling bubbled in the blonde that this year was going to be the worst of all.
This was Roxas's last summer vacation in his home before he graduated and went off to university. The blonde couldn't wait. Ever since his father had died, Roxas had been working as hard as possible to live up to the expectations that his father had left for him. Even though the blonde worked hard he just couldn't fill the shoes that were so casually waiting for him at the top of the endless staircase. No matter how hard and fast he climbed he just couldn't seem to reach them. Then again, it didn't help that he had competition. The demon, aka his twin brother Sora, had been left the same opportunity as he, to fill their father's shoes as the leading man of the family. Too bad Sora seemed to be closer than he was. Every step he took up the staircase, Sora was ahead of him, ascending the staircase like it was just a hop, skip and a jump to the top. Sora was his biggest rival, his number one enemy, and the guy acted like he didn't even notice. Roxas hated Sora, he truly did.
Descending the stairs to their two story home, Roxas walked into the open floor plan of their living room. "Ready." Roxas announced as he entered the room to find his mother obsessing once again over her check list. "Excellent! Put your bag in the car next to your brother's." the brown haired woman turned to the stairs. "Sora, Honey! Are you finished." Just the mention of the demon's name made Roxas grow in annoyance. "I'll be right down!"
Roxas deposited his bag in the car and slid into the passenger seat.
After a few moments, the car door to the left of him opened and his mother slid in to the driver's seat. A door behind him closed as well but Roxas's didn't bother looking.
"Good Morning, Rox!" Sora said in his typical cheerful voice. Did Roxas mention he hated his voice too?
"Don't call me that."
The woman beside Roxas exhaled as she slid the car in to drive. "Still bickering, I see?"
The smile in Sora's voice was almost sickening.
"Roxas just isn't a morning person, right Rox?"
Roxas ignored the comment and the nickname.
The rest of the car ride to the airport was spent listening to the low hum of music from the radio and occasional singing from Sora, much to Roxas's dismay.
When they arrived, Roxas and Sora kissed and hugged their mother goodbye before boarding the plane and watching as their home town got smaller and smaller as they rose.
A feeling stirred in Roxas's stomach as he felt himself get closer to their new home for the next three weeks, and it wasn't a good feeling either.
"Hey, Roxas"
No response.
"Roxas?"
Roxas kept his eyes on his book. Sora poked his cheek. "Rox?"
"Didn't I tell you not to call me that?"
Sora pouted his typical pout, it was really odd that he was eighteen and yet he still looked like a fourteen year old kid. "Roxas."
"What?"
"Wanna play a game?" Sora smiled hopefully and warmly at his brother. Roxas felt something inside him when he looked at his brother.
"No."
That feeling was annoyance.
"But, Roxas!"
Roxas rolled his eyes and glared at his brother, causing the smile once present on the innocent face to die instantly, he smirked.
"Shut up." he replied before returning to his book. Sora sighed a defeated sigh and turned back to the window.
"We will arrive at Springfield airport in approximately fifteen minutes. Please prepare of landing."
Sora was bored, but to be honest, you'd be bored too if your only chance of entertainment would much rather read a book than speak to you. The plane ride was honestly only four hours long, but it only takes three minutes to fall in to an unconscious state of pure and utter boredom. It was dark so looking out the window became a bore when the only thing you could see was darkness. If he truly wanted to see that he would just look in to his brother's soul.
Harsh? Maybe. But very truthful.
Ever since Sora and Roxas's father had died, Roxas had begun giving Sora the cold shoulder. It was as if Roxas had just been playing an act for thirteen years of their life. Sora hated the tension that settled between them every time they were in the same room. He hated the dark looks Roxas would give him, and he hated the way Roxas always pretended like he didn't exist. Sometimes Sora would sit and wonder if maybe Roxas blamed Sora for their father's death, maybe that's why he suddenly changed, but their mother had insisted that it wasn't his fault. Their father had developed lung cancer soon after Sora and his brother were born. At the hospital the twin's father had given them his final words before he passed. He made both he and Roxas to promise to look after their mother, he made them promise to be the man he couldn't be and to work hard and become strong. Sora and Roxas had promised and then they never spoke to their father again. Sora and Roxas had been steadily keeping their promise, especially Roxas. Right after their final talk with their father, Roxas joined the track team and spent every waking moment had had studying and running. Roxas was a straight A student, as well as Sora. They had both reached the top of their class, Sora being number one and Roxas being second.
Sora knew their father was proud of them, and so he never gave up. Neither did Roxas. They were both working to make their father proud, that's all that mattered.
"Are you even listening?"
Sora rose his head and was met with blue eye's full of hatred. Good evening to you too, Roxas.
"What?"
Roxas's eyebrow twitched in annoyance and he growled. "We're here. Aeirth told mother that she would be waiting for us right outside the west gate. Don't take forever to get your luggage." and with that Roxas stood and exited the plane.
'He's really something, isn't he dad?'
