A/N- okay, so this actually happened (excluding the Cullen's presence –sniff-) in Washington, but I'll explain at the bottom.

When Cows Fly

Edward's POV (somewhere in Washington)

Bella was asleep. How she could sleep through the noise Emmett was making in the back seat was beyond me. He was head banging and singing along to his ipod, which was at max volume. I glanced at Bella and kept driving. The light was fading fast and I wanted to get Bella back to her house before midnight.

We drove on for a long time. Emmett had stopped head banging to listen to Bella sleep talk, which was better than the alternative. It was mostly quiet in the car except for Bella's near constant talk and Emmett's booming laughter when she said something amusing.

"The sand goes there Ricardo," she muttered. Emmett's laughter was slightly muffled by his hand so as not to wake Bella. That could have been perceived as thoughtful, thinking of Bella's need of sleep. But no, he just wanted to hear her say more. "The Russians are attacking! Don't let them get away with our towels!" Emmett guffawed loudly only to be cut off.

What happened next happened very quickly. There was an ear splitting crash and a large imprint appeared on the roof like something very large had fallen on it. Bella woke with a scream before looking around in confusion for the source of the noise. I pulled the car over and hopped out. On top of the car was a very large bull. What the- I thought to myself. Bulls falling from the sky? I was seriously confused. Then I realized something. The bull had pretty much caved in the roof of MY car! My beautiful shiny car!

By now Emmett and Bella had gotten out of the car. Bella was looking up at the cliff faces on either side of the road, mystified, while Emmett on the other hand was rolling on the ground laughing. I looked over at the bull. It seemed pretty badly hurt.

"Should we put it out of it's misery?" I asked Emmett. He straightened up, trying to keep a straight face as well and nodded. I sent Bella away as we took care of it. Emmett lugged it off and buried it. No one was any the wiser.

We got back in and kept driving. We got back home in good time and I left my car in Rosalie's capable hands. I ran Bella back home and up to her room.

"Bella?" I asked.

"Mmhmm?" she asked sleepily.

"Alice wanted me to ask you to go shopping with her tomorrow. By ask, I mean demand." I amended.

"Tell her when cows fly."

A/N- okay, so weirdest thing like ever. The scenario I based this off of is real. This couple was driving back to their hotel in Washington when this cow fell off a cliff onto their car! The cow had to be put down but the people were okay. When I heard it was in Washington though, I immediately thought of Twilight. I also just had to get that last line in there. Hee hee! Review if you love me!
