All she wanted was for her father to love her.
She liked blood and scissors and other things her dad deemed
'unladylike' and 'innapropriate'. Her screen lock for her iPhone was
bloody scissors, and when she showed it to her dad, he called it
'disgusting'. She was hurt, though she didn't show it. So, in an
effort to make him happy, she changed it to a rainbow candy cane
(something she hated). When she showed it to her dad, he beamed at her
and told her what a 'beautiful young lady' she was growing up to be.
That was just the beginning in her quest to change herself so her
father would love her. Out went her black clothes she loved so much,
in came the pink clothes she despised. She tried everything to make
her father love her. She became more positive, never broke the rules,
never talked back. She became a shell of her former self, till it
wasn't even her anymore.
But still it wasn't enough. Her father was never pleased with her.
And never loved her.
