Sirius and James were the best of friends
All through their Hogwarts stay
Both members of the dueling club
Both playing pranks night and day
After graduation James went out looking
To turn over a new leaf.
Sirius looked all around the town
And all he found was grief

After James wed Lily
That Voldemort killed the pair
Turns out Peter was the one who had tattled
So Voldie got 'em out of his hair.
Well Sirius got up the nerve to confront Peter
And he thought that he maybe could win
But Peter blew up the street and killed a few Muggles
And Sirius got sent to Azkaban
Right away he got thinking 'bout how to get out
And clear his own good name
He stayed there as a dog
The Dementors didn't catch him
And it didn't take him long to decide
That Peter had to die.

The Dementors came by to bring Sirius food
They searched the cell high and low
Then they scratched their heads
And put a notice on the news
And sent people out to and fro
Well the weeks went by
And Fall turned to Winter
And winter faded into spring
And we find Hermione's got a cool time-turner
That helps them sort out the whole thing
So they went back in time
And they all saved Buckbeak
And helped Sirius escape again
They went back to the hospital
Where Snape yelled a lot
But Sirius was long gone by then
Now Peter has to die

AN: Well, this idea came to me pretty fast and it was originally going to be a humorous songfic, but it morphed into this. Go fig, huh?
