The Curse

Stanza 1

Silence was heard in the Night,

As the Moon glistened bright,

An old lady appeared at the door,

An ugly woman was what he saw,

She offered him a rose that sparkled so bright,

For in return she will stay for one night,

Stanza 2

He looked at her with horror and disgust,

The Old lady said look away if you must,

But beauty is found in all these things,

'I say' the Prince replied 'then find beauty in someone else's house'

Stanza 3

Then a powerful light tat blinded him so bright,

He looked at her with all his might,

He stood there and shook with fright,

For what he saw was an immaculate sight,

Stanza 4

For the Old lady was an enchantress,

He dropped to his knees and begged forgiveness, but it was too late,

He couldn't believe this person was the Old Lady knocking at the Door,

This was the ugly woman that he saw,

The enchantress sad there's no love in your heart at least,

She struck her wand and there before her was a beast,

Stanza 5

He feared passing every mirror he saw,

For what his reflection held was a beast with razor sharp claws,

Until his 21st year the rose will bloom,

By the last petal has fallen and he has not found the person who can love him as a beast,

His life will be filled with sorrow and doom.
