"FINNICK! WAKE UP YOU LAZY FISH" my mom yelled from downstairs.
I check my clock it was only 7:00 it wasn't even a school day. I smelled my favorite meal from downstairs it wasn't even a holiday.
I jumped out of my bed of course it's reaping day. I put on a fresh shirt and pants. I go downstairs and saw fish sticks. In district 4 all we eat is fish but if you have nothing to eat it is a good enough.
My mom said "Eat up you need energy if you get picked" then she started crying.
"Mom really I won't get chosen" and it was true we are not one of the poor districts so we don't sign up for tesserae I start walking to the town square.
I go to the fourteens and I see my mom looking at me in the back. Embarrassed I look away. I see our victors and then a new person comes up it. He has golden tattoos and gold highlights. I think his name is Brian but I don't know.

He skips to the ladies bowl. "Ladies first." He picks up the first name he grabs and runs to the center he says in a big voice. "Megan Green."
I see a girl from the 16 row go up and Brian purrs. "My you're a pretty one" next he goes to the boys and picks up a slip and zips to the center the boy's name is "Finnick Odair" to bad for him I think then. People are looking at me I wonder why then I know because I'm Finnick Odair. The odds are not in my favor.
Brian says "Look at these 2 beautiful tributes." I hear someone weeping and I know it's my mom. The odds are really not in my favor.
