"WOOOOO!" America ran into the breaking waves on the shore as the fireworks exploded over the Atlantic. "This is the best! Right guys?" He turned to the countries sitting and laying on the beach behind him. Some smiled, waved, or just nodded. He turned back to the red, white and blue flowers in the sky, smiling with glee, the childlike excitement showing plainly in his eyes. Everything was perfect! It was a clear night, the beach was clean, and the water was reflecting the fireworks beautifully. He couldn't decide which looked better though, the fireworks or their reflection. Eventually he settled on the actual fireworks and stared up at the sky. His favorite day of the year, and everything was absolutely perfect! Everyone he invited showed too! Well, except for England, but he never showed. America invited him knowing he wouldn't come. Everything, everything was going as he planned! Granted, he hadn't planned France showing up with no swim shorts. Er-no clothes at all, but that was okay, a problem easily solved.
America sat down close to the water, the waves rolling across his lap.
"Hey! America!" Lithuania stepped over to America and handed him his cellphone. "You left it by your blanket and it kept ringing."
"Aw!" He took his phone and Lithuania walked away to sit by Poland. "Don't tell me it's my boss! It's my birthday...Three missed calls from...Iggy? And a text...from Iggy too..." America smiled as he read it. 'Happy Birthday. And thank you for ignoring my calls! I really appreciate you completely blowing off my Kindness!'
He laughed. Now it was perfect.
