Loosing Sanity:
Chapter 1 – Aftermath
Twilight Sparkle nervously trotted across the hard stone floor. "It's been a while since... Dash... left... and Pinkie is just getting worse," she thought "I don't know how long it will be before... before... Pinkie Pie goes too... I don't know if there will be another chance to see her after this..." She looked around at the corridor, looking for something to take her mind of these upsetting thoughts, but it just made her feel worse. Endless cramped corridors full of rusty steel doors and scrawled numbers wouldn't really help anyway. Gray isn't a cheerful colour either. After staring numbly at the floor for 7 more minutes while plodding slowly along, she arrived at the maximum security rooms.
Nothing much really changed here, except there were less doors and the numbers were a little neater. There were also a few half-asleep wardens standing outside the doors. Twilight coughed and cleared her throat. "Excuse me..." the padding clad warden didn't stir from his sleep. She raised her voice. "Excuse me!"
The grey earth pony in front of cell #1823 (Pinkie Pie's room) jumped and glared at the purple unicorn in front of him. "What do you want!" he growled, " Young'uns aren't allowed in the prison! Make it quick!"
Twilight groaned. She had to go through this process every time she came here.
"By order of Princess Celestia," she began, "I have been granted access to the prison cell of Pinkamena Diane Pie, the mass murderer involved in 'The Cupcake Killings'." The warden stopped and thought for a few slow seconds.
"Oh, I remember! Your that bookworm who came to try and see that insane nutcase when she was out of her cell!" he mocked, "Well you're in luck today, cause miss murderer hasn't gone out for anything – no tests, no rehabilitation, no classes, not even food! Go on! Walk right in and try to talk to your crazy friend. I'm not sure she'll even understand you!"
As Twilight pushed the squeaky iron door open with her hoof, she remembered the last time she saw Pinkie... hiding in Sugarcube Corner's attic, all alone in the dark...
