Hiccup knocked on Camicazi's door before opening it to her sleeping.
"Cami," he said anxiously, "it's your favorite day!"
"What day?" she asked, immediately awake.
"Valentine's day." Camicazi turned back over.
"Oh."
"What's wrong with you?"
"I just…" Hiccup wouldn't take it. He grabbed her hand and dragged her out of bed.
"No. Someone will ask you, if that's what you're worried about. You're an heir, for Thor's sake! Now up and at 'em!"
"Fiiiine." Camicazi let Hiccup pull her downstairs and have her make herself breakfast before she slumped into a chair with her plate of oysters. She shuffled them around.
"What's wrong, seriously? You're usually the first awake, and you tried to sword fight me at 6 yesterday!"
"I have to pick a dumb suitor on this dumb day. Mother's dumb orders!"
"Really?! Well, you've escaped from worse."
"Hardly."
"Don't lie to me."
"Ok, the Visithugs were worse. But no-one else."
"You can just lie to her."
"She wants proof."
"Pretend to kiss someone."
"No."
"C'mon, I'll help." Camicazi looked as if she had been electrocuted, then leapt up, knocking Hiccup's good china to the ground. He moaned and picked it up.
"Will you pretend you're my suitor? You could just hug me. You and Fishlegs do that all the time anyway."
"If you stop breaking this china!"
"Okay." Camicazi wore her only "dumb" dress, which was black and had a sweetheart neckline. Hiccup commented on it, which made her laugh, and they set off, trying to put convincing faces on.
"Mother, this is the s-suitor." Bertha looked pleased.
"Bye, Cami, got kingly stuff to attend to." they convincingly hugged, and Hiccup left, Camicazi turning beet red and going in the opposite direction. They met at the hut later, Camicazi cleverly hiding something behind her back.
"What's that, Cami?" Hiccup asked, genuinely curious.
"Thanks for helping!" she grinned and handed Hiccup some mood dragon scales tied to a small, red bottle. He opened it and found some of Cami's magic stones. He threw them down one by one until they spelled out "Will you be my REAL valentine?" Toothless giggled as Hiccup nodded to a red Camicazi. It was a great Valentine's day.
