There he was. Kira. I couldn't see his face, but I could easily tell it was him, the psychopathic serial killer. It was just me and him. Near and Kira. We were in a battle for justice. But really, we were glaring at each other with hate.
"You're smart, Near. You've almost figured out who I am," Kira laughed. "But you aren't smart enough to know my next move!"
My eyes narrowed. But I didn't speak. For some reason, I couldn't.
Next thing I know, he has the one I love, by the neck, a gun pressed to his temple.
I didn't have enough time to move. Because, before I knew it, Kira cackled, "Fool!" And then he fired.
"L!" I screamed, reaching out to him. But before I could, everything faded to black.
I woke up in a sweat. I heard a scream, and realized it was my own. I trembled, hugging my knees.
A pair of arms wrapped around my waist. I shook and snuggled into L's chest.
"It's okay, Near-kun. It was just a dream," he whispered in my ear.
My lip trembled, and I closed my eyes and sighed. "Don't leave me," I whimpered, clinging to him tightly.
"Never," he said, kissing me on the lips.
