And as she fought, a special type of dance all in its own, he was filled with a sort of awe, that he had experienced only once before in his life, the day he had met this astounding warrior, which was, quite bafflingly, yesterday. He thought he might be in love with her.
That, he decided, was a very strange thought to be thinking about a girl who probably wanted him dead, for being the leading face of the side she opposed.
She caught his eye, and for a second, a kind of bright warmth flooded his being, like sitting next to a roaring fire, after being out in a rainstorm. She must have felt it too, for she blushed, averted her eyes, and continued fighting, with renewed fury. He pondered her reaction awhile, wondering if she, too, felt a strange tug in her chest, one he couldn't quite name.
