Humans see the universe as a single entity, that an all-powerful GOD may have created or by a vast explosion. The fact is, that this universe is just one of many called the multi-verse. Connecting all these universes is an energy force called ethereal flow. Ethereal flow is the source of all things, very few beings can tap into the flow and utilize its power. Within this energy lives a non-corporeal life form called the Dragonkin. As they moved through the ethereal flow they observed many corporeal beings, this made them wonder what kind of potential they could have. Corporeal beings have such short existences, their lives were only a mere moment compared to theirs.
Being such a curious race many of the Dragonkin decided to become partially corporeal, so they would be able to interact and learn more about these strange life forms. They all were female and were able to have children using female DNA. They found that male corporeal beings were too aggressive and had no true value to them. The Dragonkin spent much time choosing the best universe, they could find that was void of any mater but Ethereal flow. That was the only way to have a perfect place to start their research.
The rulers of the Dragonkin were Milaso and Kiafuso, and Gaia who was the first child born in their new home. Gaia's mom Milaso and asma (other mother) Kiafuso, pleased to have had the first child, since their kind had never experienced this act before. To them her birth was nothing more than part of the grand experiment. Dragonkin lacked any true emotion that would allow them to feel happy, sad, or hate. Gaia on the other hand had these emotions. Dragonkin seen this as a weakness and tended to shun her. She grew up in the first life supporting planet in the sole system (The home of humanity.)
On Gaia's 12 birthday her parents informed her that she had to create some form of life. There was one rule, the life form must not have the potential to reach their level of existence. Gaia, being a little rebellious did not adhere to this rule and went on to create the first 30 humanoids. 29 women and 1 male, her people were not pleased. She needed one male for reproduction.
The rest of the Dragonkin were not so pleased with this new life form, they also resembled them. Even though they felt that way. They are also seen that many of the life forms that were already created could be genetically integrated with the new humanoids. They decided to keep these creatures and make them part of the experiment.
Many new species came from the new genetically altered Humans, they were altered with animal DNA. They were still humanoid, but with animal characteristics. Transplanted to worlds throughout the universe and they would now be studied to see how they would grow and mature. The original humans were kept on the Dragonkin home world now known as Earth.
Gaia felt bad for the humanoids, she did not want this for them. Unlike her people she had true emotions and argued about the humans with her parents. Her only true friends were Ruuha (Ruth) her personal AI (artificial intelligence). She had grown to care a lot for these humans and started to dislike her people. One day she approached Ruuha and told her that she was going to fight for the freedom of all humanoids in the universe. After a long standoff, her people decided to, Dragonkin: "we will leave this universe and never interfere with any of the beings here, but you are responsible for them and their actions. Also, you may never leave this universe. Gaia will have to watch the people you care so much for live, grow old and die repeatedly. This is your punishment, and If they become a danger we will come back.
Soon after that all the Drangonkin left this universe, leaving Gaia to her lonely fate.
Chapter One
Gaia's induction to the human student
Sitting in her chair on the bridge of her ship the Avalon Gaia needed to figure out what to do next. The Avalon is a triangular ship with 12 domed cities, each city covers over 2,191 square kilometers. There are 41 other ships and 200 small transport ships. The ship is maintained by androids controlled by the ships AI Ruuha. Now that she is the only immortal being in the universe she knew her life will be lonely, making friends with beings that had such short lives will be hard. For now, she decided to watch and see what humanity will do. She did give up everything for them.
Gaia's made one prime rule for herself non-interference, except if a race was going to destroy themselves or commit genocide. Most of the next 3 uls (1 ul is 1.5 mil years) she watched the humanoids of the universe grow and mature. They did advance quite fast. With the human concept of time they may not think so. For her 10,000 years seems like just moments, she has tried to adjust her concept to coincide with mortals, but it is not easy to do. Many of the races have developed interstellar travel, but Earth has only been able to establish a small colony on Mars. She had many concerns about humans from earth.
Gaia left Avalon orbiting Mercury, the first planet in the Sol system. If she brought Avalon to close to earth, it would cause many gravitational anomalies, the ship is ¼ the size of earths moon. She boarded the Rokui a small frigate and headed to earth. With her ship cloaked, she set it in a high synchronous orbit above Japan. Gaia watched the humans for many days. Humans to her surprise had developed the ability to use a limited amount of ethereal flow, humans called it magic. They had to use verbal incantations to use this power, but it was a huge step. The humans started many Magic schools throughout the world, magic seemed to be the only way to advance in this society. Not all the humans could use magic, only about 40% could use it effectively. The human's leaders were the ones that could use magic, and the better you were able to utilize magic the higher your status. All the other humans were treated as second class. Much valance was directed at the non-magic users, seen as the sludge of society the law tended to look the other way.
To her this seemed reprehensible, many of the most intellectual people on Earth were not able to use magic. So why were they treating non-magic users like trash. Gaia had not been back to Earth for over 1200 earth years. She had seen human bigotry and hate back then, but her hope was that humans would have grown out of this by now. She wished for all humanoids to walk on their own and not be depended on outside influences, but with the biases, hate and bigotry she could not let it continue. It seems that every time one reason to hate is overcome they find a new way to despise one and another.
The humanoid races that have obtained intergalactic travel, do get along with each other for the most part. There are some wars between them, but none of them have bigotry toward their own race. What will happen when the humans from earth start to venture into the universe, bring these biases and hatred out into the stars. This would have dire consequences for them and the races they come across. The biggest one is that her people come back because of the chaos that might spread to other universes. Humans do have the potential to go into the multiverse. Humanity would be considered a plague, and to get rid of the infected universal purge.
Gaia did notice that there might be hope, there was a school in Hiroshima, Sanyo school of magic and technology in Japan. At the school they excepted, any magic user or non-magic user. They still had problems, but they tried to make a system of equality that focused on both magic and intellect. They are also able to do so much with their short lives, and that has given her hope that they can change. She decided to start here with them, Gaia had to see how the humans at Sanyo makes this work. If not, she would have to deal harshly with the humans on earth. Most likely she would have to end up destroying them and starting over. She did not wish to do any harm to them, but she could not risk the rest of the universe being infected with their hate.
As she watched the students go about their daily lives, she decided that she needed to get a closer look. "Ruuha," Gaia called out. "I need papers with an identity and to be registered at Sanyo academy." Ruuha "Yes empress, I will do it immediately. What is your plan?" Gaia, "I will use this to get close to the humans and see if there is any hope of saving them" Gaia needed to know what made these students and staff so different, that they are not consumed with hate toward others. She also wanted to know how she could use it to affect the other humans on earth.
After the paperwork was finished, Gaia fazed shifted herself to an empty room in the school. As she exited the room she entered a hall with many students, the hall was about 3 meters high and 4 meters wide. The rooms were on one side and full-length windows ran down the other. The windows peered into a giant courtyard, it was set up like most Japanese gardens. As she started walking to the administration office to sign into her new school, many students, male and female could not take their eyes off her. She was a beautiful woman, long red hair with streaks of blond made it look like it was on fire. She was 165.1 cm tall, 89cm/71cm/96cm Chest-waist-hip's. Some of the students were saying she looked like a goddess, if they only knew that she was the Gaia from their mythology.
Gaia arrives at the door to the administration office opens the door and walks in, looks over at the receptions and say's "greeting's my name is Gaia and I start classes today." The receptions look at her and tells Gaia "glad to have you all your paperwork is in order just sign in here and I will get the class representative to show you around." A few moments later a young girl comes through the office door slander body, dark black hair, and a lovely smile. She was 158.1 cm tall, 84cm/69cm/90cm Chest-waist-hip's. Gaia for the first time ever had feeling that she could not explain, all she could think about with her hearts pounding so fast is that she wanted was to know more about this woman. Gaia thought to herself, that she was glad she was the one to show her around.
The student walks up to Gaia and say's to her in a soft but firm voice "My name is Takami Yoshiro, and I am second year class 3 representative. I will be taking you to class and showing you around the school." "Now that will be wonderful" replied Gaia "Gaia-chan, your Japanese is perfect; it is like you are a Japanese native." Yoshiro told her with the utmost respect. "Languages you can say come easy to me," she proclaimed with a smile. "Where are you from?" She asked. "I was born on Amami island." She told her. Gaia and all Dragonkin will not lie, so trying to tell people what they want to know without tipping her hand on who she is… well is not easy. Yoshiro looks at her with wonder. "You do not look Japanese, did your family, work over here in Japan?" "Yoshiro-son, if you can call what they did work, then yes." With that, she giggles a little and say's "I will tell you everything about myself later, but for now let's get a good look at this place." Gaia looks at her in her beautiful eyes and says "I believe we will be good friends.
"I know your name is Gaia what is your surname?" Asserts Takami. "Aw yes, most people have a surname. My full name is Gaia Mitera-gi, ("Gaia, Mother Earth" is the name used by the Greeks) please just call me Gaia that is the only name I use." "Well then Gaia-chan please call me Takami." "OK Takami-chan, I Gaia am proud to meet you, and thank you for being my guide."
Takami say's to Gaia, since it is a worm sunny fall day lets go outside to see the campus. Walking around the school they come to the sports field where the students play soccer, they hear a loud scream from a female. Both Gaia and Takami start running toward the where the scream came from. They come across 5 males with different school uniforms on assaulting a young female and male student from Sanyo Academy. Takami yells out "stop immediately" two of the boy's look over and yells out "you think you can stop us." The taller one of the two chants an incantation and hits Takami with a wind blast that knocks her down. Gaia without saying a word launches 4 bolts of highly charged electricity hitting four of the aggressors, two of the four receive second degree burns, the other two get knocked on the ground twitching uncontrollably. Mia and Takami look at her with unbelievable expressions on their faces, she did not chant an incantation.
She asks Takami if she is OK, then walks over to the male students and aggressively ask them why they were harassing these people. They are noms. "noms, what is that" asked Gaia. "non-Magic users" proclaimed Takami "So you think having the ability to use a weak ability like magic gives you the right to assault others." Gaia told them in a way that there was no doubt that she was angry. "They are noms the need to respect their betters." The lead boy said. "You have seen what I can do, let this be a lesson to all. If you if you come back, you will not be walking out. One more thing welcome to the life of noms." As soon as she said that, she stripped the 5 young men of their ability to use magic. Of course, no one knew this at the time. As the boys are walking away one of them tells the others that he cannot get his healing spell to work, at that moment they realize the meaning of Gaia's words.
Gaia walks over and helps the boy and girl get up and introduces herself. The girl say's "I am Mia Tobiaski, and this is my twin brother Hitora Tobiaski." Mia Tobiaski is a 15-year-old female 160.02 cm tall 77cm/61cm/85cm Chest-waist-hip's. Mia's short black hair sparkled in the full sun, she had a beautifully shaped face, eyes that could melt the hardest soul. Hitora is 179.8 cm tall, short brown hair and a baby face. Hitora looks at Gaia and say's "what did you do, that did not look like any magic I ever seen" Gaia looks directly at Hitora "Do you think that magic is the only powers people can obtain. Magic is a power that comes from outside one's self. The power I used, has to come from within one's soul." The conversation goes on for another half hour, Gaia learns that Mia can use magic, but Hitora has no affinity with magic at all. The twins are also in the same class as her. But looking at Mia and Takami she can tell that they have the potential to use powers like her own.
Gaia was angered by the acts of the students, but she did not hate them she pitied them. "Do people tend to get violent with those that do not use magic or is this an isolated situation." Gaia asked the three as they headed to class. "Most of the students in this school get along superbly, but as you can see other schools do not have the tolerance that we do." Mia and Takami started saying angrily at the same time, but Takami finished it off. Gaia giggled and said, "you two must be tolerant about people that are unable to use magic." Gaia also goes on and says, "Humans have always found ways to hate throughout history, so I have a question for you three." Gaia stops and looks at the three, "can humans stop hating what is different from them, and will they be able to get along with others that are different from them."
The four of them started walking to class again, Gaia gave them something to think about. She asked if the three of them had time after school to show her around town, Hitora said that he had a date with his girlfriend, but Mia and Takami said that it sounded fun. Gaia walks into the classroom.
Right away all the male students start gawking at her, and the perversion in their minds sicken the young Dragonkin. Gaia can easily read the thoughts of humans at the moment it is formed. Two of the male's thoughts were so bad that she wanted to toss them through the window. The teacher asked her to give an introduction, so she did. Gaia told everyone that she has been traveling for a long time moving place to place, not giving any details. There were many questions and she answered the questions the best way she could, then she was assigned a seat and started class.
Gaia found that the classes were boring and way too easy, most of the stuff she learned when she first was able to read around 4 uls. (4 years old) She did like PE, human sports were fun. She did have to be careful Gaia was faster, stronger than any human could hope to be. But of course, she did go a little overboard, mentally she is the same as a 15-year-old human. She looked at the high jump and told Takami that the bar seems kind of low, they should raise it more to give people a challenge. Takami and Mia look at her and replay do you think you can jump that high? Well earth's gravity is 9.807 m/s², let's see. All three of them walk over to the high jump she sets the bar at 3 meters. The teacher comes over and lets them know that it is too high for them. Gaia tells them you never know until you try. She moves back starts to run toward the high jump. Leaps into the air and clears the bar by 12 cm. Ruuha contacted her before it got too bad and told her she might want to be more careful.
Mia and Takami run up to her and tell her how awesome she is at sports and that she broke the world record. Takami goes on and says "how did you do that, you are faster and stronger than any girl I have seen, you also used abilities without any incantation" Gaia smiles and tells them, "There are many things that exist and not all of them are able to be understood, magic is one such thing but it is not the only power out there."
