AN: NO, dammit, i do NOT own Harry, Ginny, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George, Draco (much is my lament), Sirius (dammit!!!), etc etc, they're all the lovely miss Rowling's. However, this IS my first f/f slash. Yaoi. Whatever. Hr/G. FLAMES WILL BE USED IN PAGAN RITUALS TO TOAST MARSHMALLOWS!!! :D
Ginny magicked shut her bedroom door.
"I don't want Ron or one of the twins barging in on us again. God knows it was embarassing last time."
"Yeah, they waltz in and the next word out of your mouth is 'pregnant'! I bet it took a while to explain _that_ to your mum!"
"Hell yeah."
Ginny flung herself down on the bed next to Hermione. She turned to face her, the horizontal view seeming normal, as they were both lying down.
"Have you ever loved anyone?" asked Hermione suddenly. "And I don't mean that stupid crush you had on Harry -"
"Ugh, please, I'm so over that."
"Well, have you?"
Ginny was silent. Hermione had no way of knowing that the thoughts running through Ginny's head were ones she felt she could never tell.
"Yes."
"How do you know?"
Ginny breathed in deeply. "You just...know. Sh-he's so perfect, the imperfetions are even perfect, every hair out of place and every wrong step just makes the light they shine to you seem brighter."
Hermione inhaled sharply. Ginny had almost said 'she'! There was no way...none...
"You mean she." Ginny stared.
"What?"
Hermione continued. "You meant to say 'she's so perfect'. I heard you."
"No...I mean...I-"
"No, no, it's ok. If it had been me, I would have been thinking the same thing even if I didn't say it. Guys are attractive, sure, but there's something...something about girls..."
Ginny stared at this girl, this person she had idolised since their first meeting at Diagon Alley. This perfect, wonderful person, was admitting to being 'otherwise inclined'. Hermione saw her expression and laughed.
"Don't look so surprised! I mean, I know how you must feel, in a house full of boys, how many girls had you met before Hogwarts?"
"Not many." admitted Ginny wryly. Hermione tilted her head to one side.
"Have you...ever _kissed_?" she asked quizically.
"Well, Harry gave me a peck on the cheek onc-"
"No. I mean, kissed...by a girl."
Ginny gazed, hypnotised, as Hermione took her chin and lifted it. She sidled closer, and they closed their eyes as their lips met.
