The humanity inside of him had been drained and he was fighting with a control he didn't know he still had to restrain himself from killing everything in sight, and from obeying the creature before him.
Kagome watched, as she ran up to him, not sure what she was going to do. She clung to him, begging him to stop, and not to transform. Kaguya was taunting her with the promise that Inu-Yasha would never be able to be a hanyou again, and Shippou was begging her to run away, warning her she'd be killed.
And she was afraid. But not of what the now full-blood demon as going to do to her, but what having his human heart being locked in a mirror was doing to him. He continued to scream as Kagome continued to hold him.
In his mind, he could only see Kaguya, taunting him and ordering him, but Kagome broke the darkness. He reached out, his claws sinking into the flesh of her back, as he began to regain control. Even as Kaguya began her spell again, he fought it, and his claws moved from her back into her arms.
Kagome briefly winced in pain, and looked up at him. He threw his head back, partly in rage, partly to help hold himself back. Kagome's eyes filled with tears at the sight, and she brought her face up to his, almost matching his height. Her lips drew tauntingly close to his, and he was still long enough for her to close in on his lips, begging him to return to her with a kiss.
Kaguya ordered him to let go, but Kagome was too powerful even for her. Inu-Yasha felt the demon blood drain as his human self began to replace itself within him. He released his grip on Kagome's arms, as his claws shrank back to normal. He looked at her, and whispering her name. He kissed her back.
And when Kagome remembered that moment, from then on, it was always that second kiss that would come to mind.

A/N: Well, I've been meaning to write this since I saw the movie, but I'm lazy. Well, once again we're approaching my birthday, and to celebrate, I'm writing this, and a little sequel of sorts. For those of you that care, my birthday is the 13th, and I'm going to be 16. ^_^
