He'd never heard her sing, not even in the shower, so he had to stand still for a moment and leave the fresh pot of coffee over the counter just to make sure the voice was coming from their room and not from the radio in the hallway. He couldn't understand the words, she was singing in another language for sure, but it was definitely a lullaby.

Even though he wasn't wearing any shoes, he tiptoed back to their room because he wouldn't want to ruin that perfect little moment of happiness and beauty, he wouldn't want to distract his wife from lulling their baby. He stood there, leaning against the doorway in complete silence as he watched Jane rocking in the chair now humming sweetly the final notes of that song he knew now would be stuck forever in his mind.

She was perfect in all ways possible, even the dark circles under her eyes from the exhaustion of giving birth looked lovely on her face, that pale face that was now light up with the charms of early motherhood. And right in that moment, when Jane's eyes locked with his, he realized how much he had longed for this moment, for the time he could call his apartment a home and his loved ones a family; he let out a sigh as he thought how much that green-eyed woman had changed his life in so little time.

Weller slightly snorted at the fear he once had about parenthood and walked toward his wife to caress her cheek and kiss her on the lips.

None of them said a word, they just let the minutes go by as the coffee cooled on the kitchen counter and the foreign words from the lullaby filled the place once again.

If you're reading this, then it means you read this small drabble and thank you! Then you should know that english isn't my first language and this came from nowhere and decided to give it a try; I hope the grammar isn't that bad!

If given the chance, this could be a full fanfiction with several chapters, let me know what you think!
