ALL I WANT IS TO BE LOVED-

BY:LINDY TAYLOR

CHAPTER 1-

I laid myself down on the bed and cuddled up against him. He smelled like home, soft and familiar. Oh, how I wished he was real! I opened my eyes and looked up at his hairy sewn-together face. Ugh. I thought, I'm pathetic. I'm leaning against a stuffed animal for crying out loud!!! I got up and sat on my bed and picked up a book, The Rose, a novel based on Beauty and the Beast. I couldn't believe it, I had fallen in love with a fictional character! The Beast, he existed in many forms, my whole life was basically bout finding love like that! I picked up my iPod and flipped through my albums and clicked on Beauty and the Beast the Broadway Cast Recording and clicked on If I Can't Love Her. As the Beast's heart and soul poured out through my earbuds I picked up The Rose and began to read.

The Beast growled and put down the book. Impossible. He thought, There's no girl like that in the world. He picked up the book again and looked at the cover, Beastly it read. Yeah got that right the beast thought. He ran his fingers through his hair, er fur, and opened to the page he was on and read the printed name on the paper, Lindy, he tried the syllables out on his thick animal-like tongue. "Lindy, Lindy Taylor." It made him feel good to say it as if she was really there. Soon he came crashing back down to earth when Erica, his servant ever since he turned into what he was, came in and announced in her motherly way, "Reuben, time for dinner." The Beast growled and followed Erica, on all fours, into the dining room.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP! "Uuunnngghh" I slammed the snooze button on my alarm, man I hated that alarm! It once went on for so long I could hear it downstairs! I got up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes when I looked at the time and realized it was 6:30! Crap! I got up and threw a t-shirt and jeans on and grabbed a Gen-Soy bar and my back-pack and waited for the bus to pass my house When it finally did I walked up my street and around the corner of my street to the bus top. When I turned the corner I checked the area to see if he was there. Yup, there he was, Ian ugh he was so annoying he would act like a total retard. Not kidding he would act as if he was an actual retard. Mostly I would just ignore him. I walked slowly so that when I got there the bus would show up faster and I wouldn't have to listen to Ian slur like a drunk. Soon after the bus pulled up and I made sure I was the first one on. I sat down in the front seat, as always, in front of my best friend Cady. She was a good friend but could be a little clingy and copy me sometimes. Well try to copy me. She'd never gotten it right. I sat down and Cady began talking a mile a minute while all I wand to was listen to my iPod. Just another typical morning.

The beast sat like an obedient Labrador in front of a picture window he hadn't gotten any sleep the night before he kept having nightmares about himself But one had haunted him since that night… He was only five-years-old.
