There's a short one-shot about my favorite couple. Most likely, it's not going to be continued. Thanks for reading and please review.

Elena walked down the sidewalk in the direction of her home. She gasped as the harsh winds blew against her soft skin, making her tug her leather jacket tighter around herself.

The kind moon lent her his light as she carefully avoided tripping over rocks in the cement. Horns blared from across the street where the highway was as Elena made her way to a fork in the road. Crickets chirping and owls howling replaced the angry honking, didn't help her with her fear of being out so late at night.

The dark alley which will get you home in five minutes, or the ten minute street light walk?

Well, if I run, I'll get home faster, but no telling what's waiting in the dark...

Elena debated in her head for a second before choosing the light provided way; the safe way.

Caroline and Bonnie were staying at The Grill, since neither one had a pesky little brother to deal with at home. Sometimes Jeremy has the worst timing.

As a blue car slowly crept up behind her, she held her breath, worried about what it might bring her.

"Please don't be trouble, please don't be trouble..." She quietly repeated to herself as the red car slowed next to her.

The passenger window rolled down to show the one and only Damon Salvatore. "Elena?"

Elena came to a screeching halt at the familiar voice and breathed out calmly. She swung the door open and climbed in the passenger seat. She instantly put her frozen, bloodless hands in front of his hot vent and sighed.

Damon snapped out of whatever trance he was in and started the car forward. "What are you doing out here?"

Elena pulled her eyes from her lap and looked at the man beside her. "Car problems..."

"Try again, Elena." Damon said as he near took his eyes from the road.

Elena sighed again. Why did she even try to lie to a vampire? Vampire hearing... It's going to be the death of her. "I left it at home."

"Why? It's freezing cold out here."

Elena just shrugged. She didn't want to fight with the person who's taking her home; not Damon, not now. Damon sighed. He wanted her to tell him what was wrong, but he left it alone and continued driving.

Damon pulled into the driveway and parked behind Jenna's car. He dropped his hands to his lap as he stared at a sleeping Elena. Gosh, she goes to sleep fast. She mumbled something and rolled on her side, facing Damon.

"Elena..." He whispered soothingly. "Elena..."

She opened her eyes and asked, "I'm home?"

"Yep." He said, popping the 'p'. She nodded her thanks and got out the car, gently shutting the door behind herself. Halfway up the driveway, Damon called her back.

"Hey!" She spun around, letting her hair fan out behind her. "I want my leather jacket back." Damon said calmly. Elena smiled and continued to her front door. Damon drove off after seeing her go inside. He was going to have good dreams tonight.

Ehh... Lame and terrible ending... Review?
