(Disclaimer: I think we all know what I'm gonna say. They're not mine. Not one thing, unfortunately. But then again, that might be a good thing, knowing me.)
(A/n: This one could be considered a companion piece to my drabble piece "Midnights." But it stands alone.)
I can see her standing at the window in the living room, head resting against the pane. She seems to sense my presence in the room and turns.
"Up early, aren't you?"
"I could say the same for you," I answer, joining her. "What is it? You're not sleeping?"
Olivia sighs. "Guess it comes with the territory."
I know what she's talking about. Dreams that leave you wide awake and soaked in a cold sweat. They're almost a given in this line of work.
So that's what been keeping her awake. Making her restless.
She steps a little closer to me and leans her head on my shoulder, her hair falling over one cheek. "Sun'll be up soon," she comments, quietly.
"Yeah. Just another day, huh?"
"Yeah."
