Chapter One
"This is Damian, who doesn't play for any of our teams, and the Twins, Shaunee and Erin," Stevie Rae explained. "They aren't really twins, though. They just act a like…think alike…well, everything alike. Separated at birth, I like to say!"
As I got aquatinted with my new room mates' friends, I notice that as a girl passed, Damian straightened up and looked at her. She was tall, with brunette hair. Her skin was pale, and she was extremely thin. She wore a shirt that clearly showed her belly, and jeans that were hugging her curvy hip. I also saw that she, like me, had tattoos practically covered her body. I leaned toward Stevie Rae and whispered, "I thought he didn't like girls…?"
"No, he doesn't, but that is his twin sister. After she came to the House Of Night, she changed, became a Dark Daughter and Aphrodite's right-hand girl," she explain.
"Hi, Damian," the girl greeted. She stopped at their table and sat down in between Shaunee and Erin. She glared at me for a second before talking.
"The new girl. You, Zoe, Aphrodite wants to know if you're interested in sitting with us."
"Juliet, can't Zoe get used to the school before you make her become a slag like you?" Erin asked.
"Yeah, we don't need more of you guys," Shaunee agreed.
"I'll think about it," I told Juliet. "Maybe in a bit."
I saw Juliet's face light up.
"Okay, then!" She glared around the table at everyone else.
But you have to come alone. We don't want any of them there.
I watched Juliet leave, shaking her butt much like Aphrodite did whenever she went off in a huff.
"Some day, she's gonna be real sorry," Shaunee warned when Juliet was out of ear shot.
"I remember when she was small and scared," Stevie Rae said. "Never let Damian out of her sight…"
"Now she rooms with Aphrodite," Damian finished. He looked almost like he was going to cry.
"Maybe we should go to first hour," Stevie Rae hinted, pulling my arm. I followed, then realized something.
"You're not in my first hour."
